Chemung County Pagan Pride Day 2006Event Details: Public Ritual: Hosted by Church of All Worlds, a public gathering where Pagans can celebrate the bounty the Earth has given us.
Food Drive: A food drive to share our abundant harvest with others in need.
Pagan Potluck Picnic: Pack yourself a picnic lunch, or bring a dish to share and your table service, and come Picnic in the Park with the Pagans!
Children's Activities: A whole lot of fun planned for the kiddies that include facepainting, storytelling, games, crafts, and workshops which affirm nature religions.
Bardic Circle: For storytelling, musicmaking, poetry, song, dance, or whatever the muses might bring!
Workshops: There will be several workshops throughout the day such as Alternative Healing and What is Pagan Ritual.
Other activities: Henna tattooing, Raffle and Auction. Displays of collections and magickal items. And we hope to have a labyrinth to walk. The information table is available all day to pick up varous informational pamphlets, see the displays, and to purchase snacks or drinks throughout the day.

Event Location: Harris Hill Park in Elmira Event TIME Details: 11:00 a.m. 'til 6:00 p.m.
Directions: Harris Hill Park - we will be on the road leading up between the pool and the kiddie rides, part way up the hill. We'll post signs and balloons!
From points west (Corning and further) , travel Rt. 17/I-86 E to Route 352 (Exit 48) . Travel Route 352 to Rt. 64 (you will veer left) . Travel Rt. 64 to Harris Hill Road, take a right, and follow signs to Harris Hill.
From points north and east, travel Rt. 17/I-86 W to exit 52B, taking a Left at the top of the exit (heading toward Wallmart) . When you get to the last traffic light, take a Right. (If you go straight, you'll be in the plaza.) This is Rt. 64. Go to Harris Hill Road (there will be a large sign) and turn Left, following signs to Harris Hill park.
Within Elmira, Go up Hoffman St., and take a Left onto West Hill Road. Follow signs leading to Harris Hill. |
