Our scene re-opens with the newly engaged couple of Phoenix Winterborn and Mari Saito inside Phoenix's home in Oceanside, California. Phoenix had pulled one of his chairs to face out towards the window, as he was seated in it his Mari nestled in his lap. It had been a couple of days since their return home, and they couldn't be happier. It was nearing sunset as they looked out on the glimmering Pacific Ocean. Some jet-skiiers were crashing through the waves in the water while some traditional japanese music was playing from Mari's iPod on the stereo.
(smiling and kissing Mari's cheek) See? I had nothing to hide. I was just waiting for a good time to show you what I had got you.
She giggled leaning her head back to look at Phoenix and have his lips meet hers. She had been smiling almost non-stop since they arrived in Los Angeles a few days ago.
