Phoenix Winterborn had just been through a hellacious match teaming with Drew Stevenson to take out "The Game" Triple H. It was a hard-fought battle, but something was shown in that match. Phoenix and Stevenson worked surprisingly well together as a team. Almost like they had been partnering together for years. One had to wonder... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our scene opens up today with Phoenix and Drew standing backstage, partaking in some water as they were talking about the match they just went though... "The American Tradition" Phoenix Winterborn: (breathing heavily) Well...that was one hell of a match, Drew. I gotta hand it to ya. We worked good together out there. "The Warforged Warrior" Drew Stevenson: You're right about that. What I want to know is why? I mean, you and I have been rivals for quite some time now. How is it that our first match together and we tag like we've been doing this all our lives? "The American Tradition" Phoenix Winterborn: That'a actually a really good question. Maybe we just know each other well enough to know what's going on with the other. Either way, it was fun, and I think we showed something out there. We proved that, combined, we are a force to be reckoned with, no doubt. Hell, we might even have a chance at the Tag-Team Championships now that the Renegadez have turned tail. What do you say? You wanna make a bid for 'em? The two men rise up to their feet, staring at each other as Phoenix extends a hand to Stevenson. No one could doubt that they laid waste to Triple H on Fight Night. The real question was, could they survive as a full-time tag-team? Phoenix looked at Drew with a smirk on his face as he awaited a reply from "The Warforged Warrior"...
