| The Civil War was a war that separated the North from the South, the men from the children. It was a war that took many lives but in the end everything was solved and everything was proverbially united. Now that would not be the case here in the WGEF Civil War and that was because the three combatants in this war were not really friends, they were warriors looking to fight it out on the battlefield and that would definitely happen in this thing and do you know why?<o:p></o:p> Because here you have three individuals who are looking to further themselves in their career’s but more importantly, in the ranks of the WGEF. This war would be huge, hell, quite possibly the biggest match at Civil War so there was no doubt that that it would be explosive. All three warriors want the win but unfortunately, only one can walk out as the winner and who it would be was currently unknown at this point in time.<o:p></o:p> The grass swayed gently from the soft breeze that blew across the hilled area. We saw a tiny figure standing atop the hill, he looked out everywhere, up at the sky, and he took in all of the scenery as it was quite beautiful but it had rich history behind it as well. Many people died right here on this hill, the once green grass used to be crimson stained from the bodies that lie dead here but that was the past, long since gone. As we stood here taking in everything, our camera footage switched over to where we saw that the tiny figure being revealed as none other than Drew Stevenson. He sported a very nice dress shirt and a pair of Levi 501 blue jeans. He continued to stare up at the sky, something had seemingly caught his attention as he then started to speak letting his quiet thoughts form into the louder sound of words.<o:p></o:p> “As I stand here on top of a hill where hundreds, if not thousands lost their lives. I start to understand, to comprehend the fact of war. Here I am going into this huge match up against Michael James and Phoenix and both are amazing competitor’s, there is no denying that. I have been in that ring against Michael already and I picked up a very hard fought victory and afterwards? The man showed a lot of respect by shaking my hand and that is a rarity nowadays as everybody either goes the cocky route or the bitchy one depending on the females. I have seen Phoenix in that ring and man is she gifted, she has been undefeated basically everywhere that she has went but I hope that she takes a different approach then what most do in that she runs around saying ‘I am better than you�?repeatedly. Now I am not lecturing you or anything Phoenix because quite frankly? I have seen you on a verbal level and you aren’t lacking nor do you need a little promo 101. You are quite the feisty one as I can recall and so that makes this thing that much bigger on a much bigger scale. I mean, I have been into this company going on five months and nobody has actually beaten me, not a soul. I have run through everybody and I have broken the back of the enemy but something tells me that you will be different Phoenix. Not that the fact that I can’t win because I can beat anybody in this industry on any given day but because your name is just a bit bigger on this industry and because as far as competition goes? Some would say that you are on a level all your own. Personally? I can’t argue that because you did in fact run through every Woman’s division that I caught you in but there is most likely a few Men’s divisions as well I am sure. Regardless, I am ready to do what I do best and that is steal the show.�?lt;o:p></o:p> He smirks and continues to stand there atop the hill.<o:p></o:p> “Now I know that Michael is going to bring up the fact that I currently have a bummed neck and he is right. Granted, I pointed that out to him but he would be right none the less but I think that it’s safe to say that he won’t be undermining me after our last encounter. It was a great fight, one hell of a battle but then you have to factor in Phoenix going into this thing or man will she kill you and in a hurry. I can already tell you that she is looking to resurrect herself and this is the perfect opportunity for her to do just that. She has the opportunity to defeat the fastest rising star here in the WGEF, the former WGEF Television Champion as I officially vacated it in-order to further my stature here in the WGEF and that is by putting myself into the WGEF Championship division. So in reality, I need this win as well because a win here continues to further my already illustrious career here in the WGEF and as usual, I am going to fight with every fiber of my being in walking out as the winner but it’s no secret that I have two giant, hungry obstacles standing in my way as one enormous brick wall which I intend to run through by the way, just so you know.�?lt;o:p></o:p> He takes a moment to pause and to catch his breath as he has talking for quite some time. The cool, gentle breeze blows through his very short hair as he takes in a very deep breath filling his lungs of fresh air that is before he then breaks the silence that had taken over.<o:p></o:p> “That isn’t arrogance talking either, it’s the truth. I might not win by some landslide or anything but I never intended to nor did I think that I would. You are both great competitor’s and underestimating either one of you would definitely be my downfall and to put it honestly�?I don’t make mistakes.�?lt;o:p></o:p> He just shakes his head and continues to speak.<o:p></o:p> “I do my research, I make sure that all of my ducks are in a row before I start running my mouth because lack of facts can and will kill you in our line of work and that is no secret, that has been known and even seen throughout history. Much like the very bloody Civil War? We too will wage war. There will be blood, that much can be guaranteed and that is because you have the three of us who are looking to kill one another to get higher upon the mountain. You know, I had a few people ask me if it bothered me that after all of my dedication, my hard work, that I was opening the show and I never had to give it any thought what-so-ever before simply answering no. Several here would be furious because they think that they deserve only the best, that they deserve to Main Event week in and week out but you know something? Sometimes it’s the opening match that takes precedence in the entire card and that’s because the opening match determines the pace and the action of the entire event and that my friends is the truth. Anybody can try saying otherwise but the facts are there and the great thing is that�?You can stamp a certified guarantee on the mere fact that since I am in this opening match? I will make sure that everybody gets their money’s worth. I will continue to push my body through hell in-order to be the very best and that’s because great warriors didn’t have that opportunity to take breaks like we can. They had to fight through every hardship, they had to push themselves to new heights in-order to survive alone and in this industry, that is everything because this industry is a dog eat dog world and you either eat or you get eaten and I can tell you now that I am not on that list to get eaten so hurt or not? You can bet your bottom dollar that I am going to be in this thing looking to win it. I am going to continue my dominance, my reign of terror in-order to take that next step in getting closer to the WGEF Championship and while my journey might be a hard one, it can definitely be achieved. I constantly hear guys complain about their injuries and yeah, they suck and make everything so much harder but you can rest assured that if I lose? I will not be blaming my injury. I would simply not have been good enough on that given day but as I have shown thus far? I am pretty good on any given day and that isn’t me trying to blow smoke up your asses but simply telling you the truth, the way that it is.�?lt;o:p></o:p> He stretched out his arms slightly nodding his head as he kept on speaking thus furthering this promo.<o:p></o:p> “The one thing that I won’t do is lie to you. I won’t humble myself to say that I am this mediocre competitor because that would be lying to everybody. Michael knows better and I am pretty sure that Phoenix knows better than that too but hey, maybe she doesn’t know me too well or maybe she follows the Stevenson hate bandwagon which many in fact follow, who knows? Honestly though, I could care less because I have already admitted that the both of them are good but the one thing that is a given is that this will be a war. A nasty, bloodthirsty war in which will drain all three of us and quite possibly hurt us. I know that Phoenix will be looking to hurt us, to make us wear the crimson mask that will match the color of her hair. She wants to watch us hurt, to watch us suffer and to hear us scream and beg her for mercy but let me tell you�?I will do no such thing. I am honored to be given such great competition such as Michael and Phoenix but when that bell sounds? When the ringing strikes our ears, we will all stare at the other from across the ring and we will be strategizing in-order to survive this thing and to try walking out as the winner. Anybody has that chance of walking out as the winner and not to sound arrogant or anything but I have already beaten Michael this past week so Phoenix is the one that has my attention right now. There is no denying that you are good Michael, you proved that this past week but Phoenix is the one that I have not beaten yet nor do I know what exactly she will bring to the table. I am very skeptical, I keep her in my line of sight as the main focal point as the enemy and that will remain that way up until I see things out of her. I am not going to wish you two the best of luck or anything because quite frankly? You don’t need it. We are all shooting the other with strong, lead bullets much like the real Civil War but only one can survive and I plan on that to be me. This isn’t my first war nor is it Phoenix’s by no means but it could very well be one of our last.�?lt;o:p></o:p> With that being said, we started going all fuzzy video feedback wise where everything suddenly went black and white. We then saw Stevenson standing there carrying a musket with a long bayonet attached to it as there lies Michael and Phoenix on the ground in a pool of their own blood. It definitely looks as if Stevenson has won the war but one thing is for certain?<o:p></o:p> The war has just begun. | | |

| The best offense is a defense.
The large building structures stood tall here in Pittsburgh, Heinz field to be exact. The football stadium of the Pittsburgh Steelers was our destination but why exactly? Well we would be finding out here very soon but as we switched cameras, we were located down on the large field. We saw that it had a little bit of snow on it but the Steelers logo and everything could be seen perfectly. As we panned out, we caught glimpse of Drew Stevenson who stood there with his hands shoved deep into the depth of his warm pockets. He sported a black Steelers jersey that had the number �?�?on it and read ‘Roethlisberger�?on the back shoulder area. It was no secret that Drew was a huge football fan but everybody was rather curious as to why he was here in the first place. The silence was quiet, everything nice and quite peaceful. That all changed however as Drew quietly cleared his throat and then started to speak, he knew that everybody was listening on to him back at the arena and all around the world upon their television sets.
“The steel curtain, have you ever heard of it Phoenix?�?BR>
He stood there taking a very brief pause before then continuing with what he was saying.
“You wouldn’t if you aren’t an avid football fan. However, the steel curtain was the best defense to ever grace the National Football League. Now I know that you will say ‘what does football have to do with our match?�?and you would be right Phoenix, it has absolutely nothing to do with our match up but there is one thing that does have a very strong resemblance regarding our match and that is the steel curtain. You see, there is no actual steel curtain but it is about being the best at a defensive standpoint and I excel at that. I heard you mention my undefeated streak and how you would end it but make no mistake about it Phoenix, you are good, no, you are great. You are quite the feisty one indeed but many before you have staked claim at being that one person to defeat me but nobody here has penetrated through the steel curtain yet and nobody will if I have anything to say about it. From Chris Michaels to Triple H and everybody in-between, they have all tried running through the steel curtain and upon running into it? They fell flat on their asses. Granted, you are quite the performer Phoenix and I am sure that you know several things about me, that tends to happen when you have toured around the world multiple times and dominated every promotion that you have stepped foot in to. Hell, you know that because you are basically the female version of me except much better looking and with a better looking rack.�?BR>
He shrugged and then continued to speak.
“Personally? I never expected you to show me any signs of kindness or respect. I mean hell, nobody does in this day and age but at least you came at me with something respectable and credible instead of garnering the same old terrible insults that died out back in 2006. I would be a fool to count you or even Michael out, especially you Phoenix but you see, much like you? I too am extremely confident in my in-ring abilities so therefore�?I believe that I will be walking out as the winner but definitely not without a fight.�?BR>
He shakes his head and then continues.
“The steel curtain that I possess has defended me against the biggest names, male and female in this industry. You Phoenix are definitely one hell of a competitor and don’t take that as me kissing your ass or anything because I’m not but I would be foolish and idiotic if I tried telling everybody that you were some shitty competitor because I know better and knowing is half the battle. The one thing that we have in common Phoenix is that we both make sure that we study our opposition. I figured that you would know my style and no offense but, it really isn’t that hard. The fact that everywhere I go labels me as the best technical wrestler in the world basically tells everybody what style that I tend to stick to. It is still a good idea to study your opponents because they can always bring something new to the table and the strange part is that, here we are both great competitors in this industry and we have been in and out of various company’s together yet due to the gender issue, we have never competed with or even against each other until now and you were right Phoenix, we are going to steal the show. When you take two definite main eventers such as the two of us and you then add in a rookie who wants to prove himself to the world?�?BR>
He pauses momentarily.
“You have something combustible. You have something that will explode and take WGEF to the next level and that is us Phoenix. We both know the fundamentals of this industry, we know how to entertain and how to be the very best that this business can offer because we have both been in that driver seat before and we are both looking to be there again. We both know very well that a loss would put the other in a tight spot, a loss here would send the other pretty far back and that is why we are fighting at full force in-order to make sure that we continue our advance and to keep our momentum. Granted, you are in your very first match here but the internet has been buzzing about your arrival here and with good reason. Here you are making your debut at a pay per view, one of the biggest events and you Phoenix are looking to live up to your name and that is by rising from the ashes after your five month hiatus. You would love nothing more than to have a successful return to the industry but you won’t be pinning me or making me submit.�?BR>
He shakes his head.
“Oh no, you might end up winning the match by beating Michael but there is no way in hell that you are going to run through the steel curtain. You are going to be quite possibly my toughest opponent to date here in the WGEF Phoenix but you know what? I am not worried. I have become as big as I have on this circuit because of my seemingly countless battles with great and/or legendary performers. I have been in the ring with and defeated the absolute best that has ever graced this industry and I see you as another opportunity Phoenix. You have definitely had your fair share of success around the globe and we both know that whoever wins this match will definitely be much bigger than ever before. I don’t look at you and see a woman Phoenix, I see a competitor and thus I will treat you as such in that ring. I know that you will do the same because we both want this win, we both want to be one step closer in reaching our respected titles at being the best in the WGEF and so we must fight tooth and nail if we are to reach that goal because we are standing across from each other on that battlefield. We are definitely going to wage a war that will be the recreation of the Civil War and if one of us makes a mistake then it’s over. It would basically be the proverbial nail in the coffin and I am not going to lose in this war.�?BR>
He started walking along the football field as he then continued to speak.
“I have been pretty good at keeping my word thus far here in the WGEF and I am not going to stop now. Each and every week I step into this ring and I steal the show. I constantly give everybody something to talk about and this week will be no different. In fact, this week will be more to talk about because you have what some refer to me as an MSN legend, then you have quite possibly the most dominant woman to ever step foot into a wrestling ring in you Phoenix and so you can bet your bottom dollar that everybody is going to pay the fifty bucks JUST to see the action that we will bring alone Phoenix. I would be lying if I were to say that I am not rather anxious to be stepping into the ring against you Phoenix�?Each and every time that I walk up to that curtain? I get those butterflies. I know that my career can be furthered, it can only continue to grow and prosper and you are that water needed to water my plants per se. The same as I am the water needed to help your plants grow. Now you might completely disagree with that Phoenix but if you know about me as you say that you do which I believe you but if you truly know about me then you would know that my name is quite big on this circuit, this industry. I am not tooting my own horn or anything but stating the facts and we both can relate to that.�?BR>
He just smiles as he continues walking down the field up until he reaches the end zone that reads Steelers in yellow lettering. He stands there and takes in a deep breath of fresh air where he then gathers his thoughts and starts speaking once again to further this promo.
“Michael, don’t think that I forgot about you my friend, oh no. In our first encounter? You showed me along with everybody else out there that you are one hell of a competitor kid. You really brought a fight in you and I was VERY impressed, to say the least. You have heart, you have that element to be the best but that is only if you can apply yourself and be dedicated because let me tell you man; success does not just come over night. You have to bust your ass and to be willing to go out there and sacrifice everything each and every week and I can definitely see it in you Michael but right now?�?BR>
He took a moment to pause.
“I hate to burst your bubble my friend but you are being put into a war that has far exceeded what you are ready for. Phoenix and I are both looking to further ourselves and our careers and that is by being better than the other. You see Michael, you have the opportunity of a lifetime in walking out there as the kid who nobody ever expected to win and you could have sudden momentum at getting that Television title shot that you wanted because you see, it is of no secret that I was the greatest WGEF Television Champion of all time and by beating me you would definitely get that opportunity but listen good Michael…�?BR>
He paused.
“I will not give you the opportunity that you requested. I want you to come at me wanting that opportunity, not wanting a hand out. Come at me with determination, with that fire in your eyes and defeat me man. Show everybody that you rightfully EARNED the shot and didn’t get it by groveling and/or begging for it. I did pull out the win in our first encounter Michael and you know something? I plan to in this match up as well and I hope that you give me something better then our first go around because if you don’t then watch as you are on the losing end once again and this isn’t to be mean or anything man but being honest with you. Phoenix and I are both treating you equally, we are going at you like an ordinary competitor instead of a rookie so take this opportunity, seize the day kid or you are going to be really fighting in-order to even make it here. Take my advice man because I am being generous enough to help you where as Phoenix would simply try murdering you and moving on.�?BR>
He suddenly removed his hands from his pockets where he stretched his arms out to his sides and then began talking again wrapping this segment for Civil War to a close.
“Well guys, I will be tuning to hear what it is that you have to say but rest assured that neither of you will be going through the steel curtain and that isn’t a threat or anything but a promise, bank on that.�?BR>
With that, he stretches out his index finger and points at the recording camera before then smiling and turning around to where he walks off of the football field as our video feedback, footage per se comes to an end, for now.

| “I like you Phoenix, I really do.�?BR>
We were quick to set the scene in an art gallery. We saw hundreds of great pieces of work but there were a few that really stood out to the naked eye. As we saw these pieces, we also saw WGEF Superstar Drew Stevenson who stood there in a very fancy Armani suit. He was looking at a strange looking piece that was from Picasso and you could tell this just by looking at the strange, distorted painting. As we panned in on his face, he just looked at the painting and soon enough, his thoughts began flowing like a fine wine.
“Every time we step into that ring, we create art but in a different form. We give everybody either the technical arts, the highflying arts or the hybrid arts in your case Phoenix. Now I happened to catch your promo and you know what? It was a breath of fresh air. To see a woman either know who the steel curtain was or to research it and actually get it right was definitely something nice to see, well done.�?BR>
He paused but only momentarily.
“However, I think that you might have gotten what I said partially wrong, let me explain. I never once said that I had no offense to go along with my superior defense. I was simply stating that neither you nor Michael was going to run through the steel curtain and it’s just not going to happen. I have the superior offense to match my superior defense, hell, how do you think that I made it through and defeated the biggest names in this industry? I know what is needed in-order to be the best, to get the job done. I am an artist in this industry, just as you are Phoenix. We both know the fundamentals, the proverbial in’s and outs of this industry and that is what makes this thing huge. I guess to counter you, much like the Ravens and Steelers game coming up this Sunday which by the way? You were close but remember, it was stated that Pittsburgh had the better defense, actually, the best defense in the NFL this year and if you also recall�?Pittsburgh already defeated Baltimore earlier in the year but that is neither here nor there. I do like the comparison that you used however because that puts me as the winner in our huge encounter. You see, it is very rare that a company gets a match up such as this and I know you Phoenix, we are going to light up the night and what a great night that it shall be that not only will Pittsburgh advance into the Super Bowl but I will be walking out of Civil War as the winner, such a fantastic night that will be.�?BR>
A huge grin ran along his face as he positioned his hands behind his back in a very formal manner while walking down the hall looking at all of these wonderful, elaborate paintings. He stopped right in front of a much more known painting, Grant Woods ‘American Gothic�?painting which showed an old man and his middle aged daughter standing there in front of their home. As Drew stood there, he looked at it for a brief moment before then looking back into the camera and letting his thoughts be heard into the form of words.
“I would like to get back to the artistic side of our line of work because far too often do you see people just speak and they say the same old stuff in each and every promo in which they cut. They use the same ideas far too often and what people don’t realize is that�?Cutting a promo is also an art form. You have to be creative, you have to be witty and it helps to be intelligent as well which thankfully, Phoenix seems to very intelligent. She has come at me with dignity, respect, and I like that because we both know that the other is a great competitor and saying otherwise would make us look quite stupid and I am pretty sure that Phoenix is not stupid and I KNOW for a fact that I am not dumb enough to but you know something? Here you have two very different styles of artists going out there to showcase their abilities in and out of that ring and to put it honestly, Phoenix has been the most fun out of all my opponents to date and so I can’t wait to step into that ring and test her because she is going to test me as well. We are taking each other to the limits not only physically but also verbally as we go back and forth in this verbal war in hopes that one of us can gain that upper hand but truthfully? I seriously doubt that there will be a true winner in the verbal department but in the physical department?�?BR>
He just shakes his head and continues to speak.
“Oh man, that will definitely be huge. Two warriors looking to take the helm, it is going to get brutal and rather ugly and that’s because we both want to beat the other. I want to beat you, you want to beat me, it is going to be one hell of a contest and I am just hoping that my neck can continue to hold up each and every week in which I go out there and give everybody something special. I know how Phoenix works, she is very methodical, she likes to stalk and lurk there in the darkness and when the time is right?�?BR>
He suddenly claps his hands together making a loud sound which gets everybody’s attention.
“She jumps out striking you. She injects her lethal poison into you and watches as her victims lie there dying, their chest plate beginning to cave in and when she is ready? Their heart will inevitably stop. I have watched Phoenix kill many of the best, man and woman. She has that fire in her to be the best and that’s because she remains calm in every situation, she doesn’t let the opposition get to her mentally and that is why I didn’t even try. I knew from the get go that it would be a wasted opportunity and thus, I took the logical and realistic approach. I am not saying anything that isn’t the truth. Phoenix has so much confidence running through her that no man or woman can ever kill that portion of her, it is a losing battle from the get go. I however am challenging Phoenix more-so on the physical side of things, definitely not because I think that I am superior or anything because let me tell you�?She is one tough cookie. She intimidates men with her fiery attitude but me personally? I don’t get intimidated. I remain calm, I take in all of the facts and study them and when the time rolls around and the match up is at hand? I have already formulated several different strategies in-order to wear down and/or to completely tear my opponent limb from limb and I am going to treat you the same, if not more Phoenix. I see you as a much bigger threat than my past opposition Phoenix and that is because the art that you bring to the gallery is definitely hard to beat. You have that element about you that just reveals that you are great and no offense to many of my past opponents but�?They didn’t have that element.�?BR>
He paused momentarily.
“Sure, they were good in their own rights, no doubt about that but they definitely weren’t at that level that we are at Phoenix. We both have headlined hundreds of shows, we have headlined main events at the proverbial grandest stage of them all and we have either walked out victorious or we fell slightly short. The point that I am making is that, we know what it takes in-order to be the best. Our proverbial art is good enough that we can waltz into any promotion and immediately carry them over the top. That isn’t arrogance either, it’s the truth. I have proven it time after time as I am pretty sure that you have as well. This weekend at Civil War?�?BR>
He smirked and reached up to stroke his chin before continuing.
“We are going to be opening the show with a bang, do you realize that? We might not be the main event or nowhere near it but damn is it going to be Earth shattering, to say the least. I am going to bring my greatest artwork per se just as I would expect that you would as well. It is going to be huge, the bright lights shining down upon us, the fans chanting our names…�?/FONT>
Suddenly the fans watching back at the arena start screaming and chanting ‘Steve-n-son�?repeatedly. A huge grin stretched along his face as he then started speaking once again.
“I have Goosebumps just thinking about it and when that bell sounds?�?BR>
The camera pans in on Drew’s face, he looks very serious, determined.
“I can tell you now that everything is going to be that of a pure, raw art form. See you soon Phoenix.�?BR>
With that, he walks off as the camera pans up to where we see the very famous painting of Leonardo DaVinci’s, the Mona Lisa. This is a symbol that their match will be of only the best caliber, they will be unleashing almost every art form of the wrestling world into one match and as we viewed the painting?
