I must say this is one of the best matches I've had in awhile, it's been fun competing against ya! | The day was finally here! The WGEF was broadcasting this week’s edition of Rampage live from the Arena VFG to a sold out crowd. Trish had arrived at the arena the day before to make sure that everything arrived and was set up properly. After what seemed like hours the stage set was finally put together and the crew had started getting to work on the ring. Trish pulled herself out of her chair informing the lead technician that she’d be right back before making her way backstage. She quickly proceeded to get herself a drink of water. As she finished the drink and tossed the empty cup in the trash she hard an unfamiliar voice call her name. Turning around she saw her opponent for Rampage, Paris Jior and her boyfriend Temper standing behind her. After exchanging small pleasantries Trish had told Paris of her and Deacon’s trip to an amusement park for a little enjoyment, inviting Paris and Temper along with them. While Deacon and Temper headed to the bar for some beers, Trish and Paris had decided to give the fans what they wanted and entered themselves into a little boxing competition with a couple of groups of fans. They had dressed in pull over sumo wrestler suits, which needless to say was quite hilarious. Trish led the blue team while Paris led the red. Deacon and Temper had finished their drinks and made it to the ring just in time to see the beginning. It was definitely a sight to see! After teetering for what seemed like ages both women finally fell which got quite a laugh from everyone watching, including Trish and Paris. Finally the match was over and the ref held both women’s hands in the air as camera bulbs flashed from every direction. Deacon and Temper had helped them out of the ring joining Trish and Paris in a group photo. Afterwards both ladies made their way to a small tented structure changing out of their outfits. They gave each other a high five and a compliment on their performance. This was definitely the most fun Trish had experienced lately. Paris was a pretty cool person and was definitely fun to hang out with. After getting changed they all said their goodbyes and made their way to their cars. Trish climbed in on the right side while Deacon climbed in on the left, firing the engine to life eventually pulling out of the parking lot. %Deacon Havok% You and Paris certainly had a good time today. %Trish Stratus Copes% That we did. I don’t know when the last time I went somewhere just to get away from everything and had that much fun. %Deacon Havok% Excuse me but I remember you and I going somewhere to get away from everything and having quite a bit of fun. %Trish Stratus Copes% Alright…how does this sound, I don’t know when I’ve went somewhere with my opponent and had so much fun. %Deacon Havok% That’s more like it. I’m not putting in all that time making you happy and not getting credit for it. %Trish Stratus Copes% You’re a real shit you know that? Just you wait till Paris and I get the chance to spend some time together again. We might just have to sit down and see whose man is the biggest shithead. %Deacon Havok% I take it by that statement you two have become new found friends. %Trish Stratus Copes% That I don’t know about. Don’t get me wrong, even though today was a completely spur of the moment decision it was one of the most fun days I’ve had in quite awhile and Paris is one of the most real people I’ve met in awhile, but I don’t know if I’d say we were friends. Not yet anyway. %Deacon Havok% Judging by what I’ve seen today, you two spend much time together and you’ll be friends soon enough. %Trish Stratus Copes% Perhaps. As they continued down the road Trish turned her head towards the window gazing out at the gorgeous scenery. It was truly some of the best she had ever seen. She wished that after her match later on she could spend a few days and actually enjoy it but unfortunately as soon as the show was over she had to move on. Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of laughter. Looking over on the other side of the car she saw Deacon looking over at her with a smirk on his face. %Trish Stratus Copes% What’s so funny? %Deacon Havok% I can’t get over that image of you dressed up in that sumo wrestling outfit. That was the funniest thing I’ve seen in a long time. As the scene replayed through her head Trish couldn’t help but laugh as well. She was glad that she had asked Paris and Isaac to join them. Not only did she have a rare moment of enjoyment but it gave her a glimpse of what she could expect from Paris later on that evening when the two faced each other in the ring. %Trish Stratus Copes% It was pretty hilarious at that. It’s to bad Crystal wasn’t there, she would’ve gotten a nice laugh seeing me dressed up like that. I’ll have to find some pictures to show her sometime. There’s no doubt that it’s already been put up on the internet already. %Deacon Havok% I wouldn’t be surprised, you two were quite a big hit. %Trish Stratus Copes% Can you blame them? Paris and I were damn entertaining if I do say so myself. %Deacon Havok% You’re not getting any arguments from me. I thought it was one of the funniest things I’ve seen in my life. %Trish Stratus Copes% You were more than welcome to come and join us, you know? Paris and I would have gotten a kick out of seeing you and Isaac dressed up like that. %Deacon Havok% That’s alright, we’ll leave that up to you two ladies. %Trish Stratus Copes% Spoil sport. As Trish sticks her tongue out at him, Deacon pulls into the arena’s parking lot. No sooner had they pulled completely off the street a throng of fans made their way over to the car pressing their faces against the glass trying to get a better view. Trish rolled her eyes letting out a groan in disgust as Deacon continued to creep along the drive. As he finally makes it through he heads to the first row of parking spaces looking for an available spot. He finally finds one at the far end and heads towards it. Pulling into the spot he kills the engine. As the couple get out of the car they make their way up to the building catching the attention of the fans still positioned at the end of the drive. There were the usual sluts chants aimed at Trish along with a few polite from people who had obviously been at the amusement park earlier. Trish looked over at them shooting them a scowl. She knew they were too far away to see it but still it gave her a slight sense of satisfaction. As they continue towards the arena one of the male fans pushes his way past security racing towards Trish and Deacon. Once he reaches them he holds out an autograph book and pen. Trish shoots him an evil glare then shoves him away. The young man stumbles back before falling on his ass. Both Trish and Deacon burst out in laughter at the young man's expense before continuing to the arena. As they reach the double doors the security guards hold the doors open allowing them to walk inside. They walk into the hall still hand in hand through a second batch of security guards. After getting past them they continue down the hall in search of a place where they can get a few moments of peace. Of course that didn’t seem to be the case. You see as they entered the building, Matthew Green, one of Rampage’s interviewers, headed in their direction with a microphone in his hand and a cameraman in hot pursuit. Knowing he was there to ask her a bunch of idiotic questions Trish told Deacon she would meet him in her office later and leaned against the wall waiting for Matthew to catch up. %Matthew Green% Excuse me Trish but I was hoping to get a few words with you about your match later on against Paris Jior. %Trish Stratus Copes% You’re kidding me Matthew. Why I never would have guessed that what you wanted. And here I thought you had one of our cameramen following you because you were lonely in a strange place. %Matthew Green% I can assure you? %Trish Stratus Copes% It was sarcasm dipshit. Jesus, I would have thought someone of your supposed brilliance would have recognized it rather easily. (She sighs) But never mind. Just ask your questions and get it over with. I have a match to get ready for you and I’d like to do that instead of stand here all day. Without offering a smartass remark in return Matthew motioned for the camerman to get ready as he slowly rose his microphone towards his face. Once the cameraman was ready he gave Matthew the all clear sign. %Matthew Green% Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. This is Matthew Green coming to you live from the Arena VFG in Guadaljara, Mexico. Standing next to me is WGEF Co-Owner and Rampage General Manager Trish Stratus Copes (The camera pans out to reveal Trish standing next to him) who tonight will be taking on Paris Jior. Now Trish, rumors have been floating around that you and Paris were seen at a local amusement park and you seemed to be quite friendly with each other. Can you tell us how that it will affect your match tonight? %Trish Stratus Copes% First of all Matthew, I would appreciate it if you and everyone else kept your noses OUT of my ass! Second of all, I can spend time with whoever I see fit and act any way I damn well please. Now as for how this will affect my match against Paris, I can assure you that it won’t. Paris and I could be the best of friends or the worst of enemies and the match itself would remain the same. Just because we happened to meet each other here earlier in the day and decided to go out and enjoy ourselves a little bit doesn’t mean that we are going to give less than our best. Regardless of my relationship with Paris I’m going into this match to win and I know she will be doing the same. %Matthew Green% Just a few moments ago, my college Daniel Sanchez caught with Paris and asked her regardless who wins tonight if it would change the connection that you two have. Her answer was that regardless who won it wouldn’t change anything even if you were to become close friends. Do you share that sentiment? %Trish Stratus Copes% Well of course I do Matthew. You see Paris and I have one thing in common. We’re both agree this match is about business pure and simple. I’ll admit we did get the chance to relax a little bit and enjoy one another’s company but once that bell rings all of that will be put aside and it will all about business. If Paris wins then my congratulations goes out to her and if I win, well, then it was a well earned victory from a fantastic talent. %Matthew Green% Paris has been heard to say that she has a great deal of respect for you. That’s something that isn’t normally heard from an opponent. Can you tell us how you feel about Paris? %Trish Stratus Copes% I have the utmost respect for Paris. Unlike the majority of the women on this roster she doesn’t run around pretending to be the best there is only to be proven wrong in the end. That’s not something you see much these days and the fact that she knows there are people around just as talented is a very highly respectable quality in my book. %Matthew Green% I do believe that’s the first time I’ve heard you have any respect whatsoever for an opponent. Anyway, I have just one last question for you. With the two of you seeming to get along so well, it raises the question as to why this match was booked. Can you shed some light on to us as to why? %Trish Stratus Copes% Because I wanted an opponent who would not only give me a challenge but would actually show up. My opponent last week on Fight Night, decided to chicken out within a few weeks of signing the contract and therefore I technically didn’t have an opponent. Unlike some people I don’t like the easy wins, I actually prefer to earn my victories. And since Paris showed up the week before in Baghdad and put on one of the better matches on the card I decided to take her on myself and have one of the better matches I’ve had in awhile. Having said all she needed to say, Trish turned around and walked the few steps towards her office door. Gripping the handle she twisted it slightly to the right and shoved it forward. She turned around to give Todd one final look. He was still standing there with a blank expression on his face. Trish let out a laugh and stepped inside the room as the scene faded to black. |
