Rampage was approaching pretty quickly and Phoenix was making sure that she was more than prepared to take down Paris Jior. This encounter with her later on tonight would not be their only one however. .They actually had yet another one coming up sooner than one would think. After they faced each other today, they would be going right back at this week on Fight Night. Only difference was that another girl would added to that match, that being Trishelle Jameson. Well that and the fact that the match would be a Hardcore match. But Phoenix was not going to focus on that match just yet. She had to give this one all of her attention. Beating Paris Jior today would give her more of an advantage in that match. It would definitely put a lot more momentum on her side. She would know for a fact that she has Paris Jior's number and the only thing she had to focus on then would be taking care of Trishelle.

"Baby understand me now if sometimes you see that I am mad,
Do you know no one alive can always be an angel,
When everything goes wrong, you see some bad,
But I am just a soul whose intentions are good,
Oh Lord, please do not let me be misunderstood."

So of course everyone heard Phoenix's "apology" to Paris the day before for in a sense "disrespecting" her. The thing about it was that Phoenix was misunderstood by a lot of people. True enough, she could be considered cocky, arrogant, egotistical, and even throw in bitch in the compilation of characters. But a lot of that came from someone's misunderstanding of her. In her mind of course, she felt like she was easy to understand. For a person to come with only one goal in one, destroy, then how could you not understand? Since the moment Phoenix first arrived onto the scene a few years ago, she did not have a whole lot in mind. Actually, she did not even have wrestling in mind at all when she first came onto the scene. But when she finally realized that wrestling was her calling, she had been doing only a few things since. You hear people that love to do three things. Often times, you hear those three things compiled together. You hear a lot of people say they came, they saw, and they conquered. It is actual a very popular phrase. That was exactly the goals that Phoenix had been living by since her debut into the wrestling world. It did not matter where she went. It did not matter who she was up against. In her mind, she was going to come into any organization that signed her, she was going to scout out the competition, and she was going to conquer. Drew Stevenson basically solidified that for her. Informing the world of her being dominant in every company that she has ever been signed to proves that she lived by those three things. But see, what a lot of people did not realize was that these particular three goals had byproduct with them, that is, something that results secondary to something else. The byproduct of successfully fulfilling those simple three goals is money, fame, championships, title reigns, and one more thing that Phoenix has yet to do in her career. That one thing would be being inducted into a company's Hall of Fame. There should have been several times that she was inducted in, but it just did not happen. Then there were other times when companies just did not even have a Hall of Fame. But now she was arrived in WGEF and noticed that they have one. So it should really be no secret that she is aiming to get her name inducted some way or another. Executing these three goals once again surely takes her a long way to doing just that. Now with a person with three goals as simple as that, how can you not understand? That now becomes the question on the floor.

x~. Tuesday, February 3, 2009 - Scottrade Center (Backstage)

By now, everyone was able to view Phoenix's public apology to Miss Paris Jior. Now again on the day that she was scheduled to meet her in a match, Phoenix was backstage at the Scottrade Center. As her future husband had pointed out to her the day before, she was sometimes a bit hard for people to interpret. But there are so many different types of people. So, she was going to do herself something similar to a survey of sorts, if that was what it was to be called. She arrived back to the arena a bit early for the match to give herself enough time to do what she came for, plus to get her last many preparations in before it was time to head to the ring. She went searching around the backstage area until she found her a camera man to follow her. Now although she already had in mind what she was about to do, none of the people involved did. She did not even know who was going to be involved. All that she knew was the specific types of people she would select. So, it would all begin once she found one of the camera men.

Phoenix Come on dipstick, follow me.

The camera man shrugged and figured he had no choice but to follow along. It was his job after all. As the two of them walked through the hallways, they passed quite a few people. Lucky for Phoenix, this was the time when a lot of fans would be backstage with their backstage passes trying to see their favorite superstars. She saw her first one, a blonde haired girl who had stopped to mess with her phone. Phoenix approached her.

Phoenix Excuse me.

Oh hell, she was sounding like Vickie Guerrero now. That could not be good. Anyway, the girl looked up from her phone and got all excited out of nowhere.

Blonde-Haired Girl Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God! O-M-G!

Phoenix had to fight with everything in her not to just start laughing.

Phoenix Calm down, calm down.

The girl started taking deep breaths trying to maintain her composure, well, the little that she had not already let go berserk.

Blonde-Haired Girl You! You are, you are Phoenix!

She let out this weird scream that actually hurt Phoenix's ears. She could only hope the girl had not shattered the damn camera lens. Otherwise, that was going to put a damper into these plans.

Phoenix Yes I am, and I have a question for you. Do you understand Phoenix?

Blonde-Haired Girl Of course. You like, kick ass and just....do not even care.

That was definitely one way of putting it.

Phoenix Thanks.

The girl did not know what for. She probably had not even noticed she was on camera at that time. She was going all deranged just because Phoenix walked up. The next person was a dark-haired man. He look like a young businessmen from his attire. Phoenix felt this guy would be a lot safer and calmer than the normal fan.

Phoenix Hi there, mind answering a question for me?

The man looked and noticed who he was. Unlike the fan before him, he did not start hitting cartwheels and bouncing off the wall.

Dark-Haired Man Sure, no problem.

Phoenix Do you understand Phoenix?

Dark-Haired Man Hell yeah. It took some time at first, but I think I figured you out. I have been watching you for years now so I am almost certain I know.

Phoenix Care to share for this little "survey" that I am doing?

He shrugged.

Dark-Haired Man No problem with me. You are in one word.......sophisticated. You are one of the few people would not mind paying to see regardless of how horrible the economy is right now. People like myself know that no matter what, you are going to entertain the hell out of us with your matches. Sure, you have other people in the matches with you, but most of them do not perform quite like you do. Plus you are definitely a sight for sore eyes in every sense of the meaning.

Phoenix grinned shaking her head.

Phoenix Well I sure thank you for your time.

He nodded as he was pretty glad that he could help. She moved on to her final and third fan participant.

Phoenix Hey, if you could explain Phoenix in one word, what would it be?

This guy was a black guy who looked to be about in his very early twenties. He was a bit taken back by Phoenix just appearing out of nowhere. Now of course, she would not just know that she was this guy's favorite female wrestler. He almost just fell out from seeing her, let alone having her talk to him. He swallowed trying to get over his nervousness.

Black Guy M-m-m-misunderstood.

She put her hand on his shoulder.

Phoenix Calm down, everything is just fine.

He took a few deep breaths until he felt more comfortable standing this close to Phoenix. Had she not said that, he probably would have fell right on out. Now she was near him, she was talking to him, and she was even touching him.

Phoenix So you would classify me as misunderstood?

Black Guy Definitely!

Phoenix And why is that?

Black Guy Well, it is easy to see people do not understand you. Take your opponent later on for example. I was watching David Letterman the other night and it is easy to tell she is one that does not understand you. She clearly does not understand you saying you are better than her. I do not recall you coming out and saying it, but I would not blame you if you did. But she is not alone. Hardly any of your opponents to date understand your methods and strategies.

Phoenix nodded. This guy obviously paid a lot of attention to her. But at any rate, she was rushed for time so she had to move it along.

Phoenix Well I sure thank you for your time.

She walked on and now it was time for the others to add on to this "survey." The first person she found was one of the little lowlife wrestlers of the WGEF. The name did not matter. All that mattered was that they were a wrestler under contract with WGEF.

Phoenix Excuse me, do you mind answering a question for me.

The guy turned around and immediately starting blurting out stuff.

Wrestler 1 Phoenix! You are Phoenix. You are a bitch! You always talk about yourself and then down others. People are tired of you and definitely tired of seeing you.

Phoenix chuckled a little bit turning her head. That was pretty funny to her. But her laughter would cut off suddenly and before the guy knew anything, he was on the floor courtesy of a Savate Kick from Phoenix right to his midsection. She looked down at him. He did not have much to say. She moved on to her next person. Now this next guy looked a whole lot like SVD. Hell, it might have been.

Wrestler 2 You Phoenix. You talk bad my name every time see you. I give you more shot. SLAM JAM!

Phoenix's entire facial features just twisted up. What the hell did this guy just say? If it was not SVD, he sure as hell talked like him. He did nto even give her a chance to ask a question. He just started talking...if that was what that was.

Phoenix Um....what. You know what, never mind...crazy fucker sounds like a damn Slim Jim commercial.

Phoenix just shook her head and walked off. She came to the last person that she would ask anything from, especially if it was anything like the last. Now this guy resembled Chris Orton. And again, it could be him. Phoenix did not really know or care.

Phoenix Look...all I want to know is how would you describe Phoenix?

She figured if she just made it straight to the point, it would work better.

Wrestler 3 I am sexy! I am too sexy! I might lose every match but I still come out and fight, get back up to fight again, and I know Paris Jior's boyfriend Temper order porn from hotel rooms called "Gentlemen Nightout," I got hotel bill that says so, and WHO BETTER THAN ME.......NO...

Phoenix cocks back and slaps the shit out of this guy. She hit him so hard that he had no choice but to go down. He looks at her in shock mixed in with fright. She looks down at him.

Phoenix What the hell is wrong with you. Shut the fuck up! Everything is not one big ass sentence. Take a fucking pause for once in your life. Looks alone will get you nowhere here. What the fuck, are you retarded? Who goes and asks for someone's damn hotel bill to see what kind of damn movies they have been ordering. Get a fucking life. And who the hell listens outside of someone's door to see if they can hear moaning inside? And who better than you....ummmm....hmmmm....I know this one......how about........EVERY DAMN BODY! Go jump off a damn bridge for fuck's sake. On your way, how about you drop that damn line back off with Chris Kanyon.

These were the damn people that she worked with. Notice that she did not walk up to any of the female wrestlers in the back. She knew that if she did, she probably would not quite get the answer she was looking for. She of course was not looking for anyone that was going to necessarily side with her. However, she knew that the women probably would have been trying to tell her she is ugly and who knows what else. They would have an entirely different opinion on her than the men, and all of it would probably not quite give her the information she was looking for. Her whole point was to get how people felt about her character, personality, attitude, whatever it was they wanted to call it. She really did not even need them to tell her about her in-ring ability. Her success alone gave her any answer she needed to know about that. If anyone said anything different, it was just because they did not want it to be the way that is was, simply put. She walked off getting to her own clear spot in the arena before lifting her microphone that she had been carrying.

Phoenix And these are the people I have to work with. But at any rate, I think we have this thing figured out now. The fans understand exactly who Phoenix is. They realize that she is misunderstood. They understand exactly who she is and exactly what she is here for. But when it comes to the wrestlers in the back, they do not understand. But it is not because all of them are stupid. That is mostly what it is, but there are some who just do not want to understand. They want to go about things the good way. They do not want to hear you promote yourself. Well ask yourself this...if you do not promote yourself, who do you promote? In a world where people live by "survival of the fittest," you have no choice but to think and fend for yourself. Phoenix is not here to make friends, she can truly guarantee you that. I am here with one goal in mind. Part of the goal has already been completed. I have come, I have seen, and now the process of conquering is underway. But do understand, I have not conquered anywhere by conducting a list of all the friends I could collect. I have never needed a stable or faction behind me to get ahead. Even when I was involved with men in wrestling, I did not need them to get me ahead either. I did not care who liked me then and I sure as hell do not care now. It is all a part of the business. Maybe once people start figuring that simple fact out, things will maybe run a bit smoother. When people get out of the buddy/buddy system and start kicking some ass, the women's division will definitely take off then. I come in and I lay down what I have on the table. You deal with it in whatever way you think that you can. You want it to get personal, I am all up for that as well. Point is, I am going to talk bad about you. I am going to talk great about myself. Why? Because I am great and it is a must that you know it. Otherwise, you come in and foolishly believe that you might have what it takes to make easy work of me. It just does not happen. But of course....no one wants to hear the truth. All I can say is, do not say Phoenix did not warn you. Paris...it is put up or shut up time my dear. A word to the wise, Phoenix is feeling it. When Phoenix feels it, that is just dangerous to you. So be prepared, because you are in for a hell of a ride.

Phoenix paused for a second.

Phoenix This is the time where you show if you have what it takes. This is the time where you make sure that I do not win. This is the time when you do your job. This is the time where you do what you have been doing since you been here. This is the time where you prove me wrong. This is the time where you prove that it is no such thing as an "I am better than you." This is the time you learn my moves so you know what to do next. Oh wait....

Phoenix taps her wrist where her watch would normally go if she had one on.

Phoenix YOUR TIME IS UP! YOU....LOSE!

Phoenix just shakes her head. It was always just so sad for the people. They had their opportunities but more than 90% of them did not know how to take advantage of the opportunity. Too bad for them. The match was coming up soon and Phoenix had to head to her locker room to get dressed and do her stretching. She was about to show Paris that she was no different from anyone else that Phoenix had faced. She said she was not a good girl, and that was fine. Phoenix is good...not really...she is great. Arrogant, cocky, egotistical...thank you for noticing. Maybe now you understand her now....strong maybe.

OOC Statement: So I had a little time to squeeze in the last one. Hope everyone enjoyed...and those wrestlers are just people I used...wasn't sure if anyone would want me using their characters, especially since I hit two of them..but at any rate...it is what it is...again, do enjoy.
