Friday night Fight Night had come and gone, and as stated by the one and only Phoenix, she beat Paris Jior for the second time in a week's span. Now this was supposed to be the part of Paris's little game plan where she would come out with a win. She "let" Phoenix beat her the first time, so the second time was supposed to be in all seriousness. But seriously, she lost...again. Now you had some people who would say that it was not all about winning. You would have some that say that you should enjoy what you do regardless of what the final result for the match was. Those people were right. It is not all about winning. People should enjoy what they do in this business whether the final result is positive or negative. The problem is, a person's perception is only as far as they understand. In the perception of a lot of people, it is all about winning to Phoenix. In the perception of those very same people, Phoenix only enjoys the winning aspect of this business. But that only proves Phoenix's thinking to be correct when she says that over 90% of her opponents do not really know her. They make assumptions and perceptions according to what they are used to, but Phoenix always tries to get them to understand it from an entirely different perspective. But of course, they can only perceive what she says according to how they understand. There is a saying some wise person must have thought up for situations like this. It goes something like, "lean not into your own understanding." But of course, everyone wants to play philosophers in the story and they all have to put meaning into everything. If only they knew a bit more than what they actually knew, things would probably be a bit better. But oh well, just the type of people that Phoenix has to deal with on a weekly basis. It was nothing new. The argument she heard from Paris was nothing new to her. She had heard people say these very same things before so she definitely knew the situation all too well. But at such times, she would just continue to be herself. People would not like her regardless and she was perfectly fine with that. It would seem that she had made quite the enemy out of one Paris Jior. It was all funny to Phoenix though. The poor girl was coming up with whatever hit her mind at this point, and none of it really made sense to begin with. But oh well, in the end, Phoenix still could have her a good laugh about it.

x~. Monday, February 9, 2009 - The Car

We catch up with Phoenix once again riding in the same black 2009 Chevrolet Avalanche that she had been seen in a few days ago. Only difference was now she was heading towards Tennessee for the next event. She had been having quite the busy schedule lately. WGEF management obviously was loving her services because they were booking her on every show. It was nothing too new to her though. The way she thought of it was the same she did when she was working for multiple companies. She always had two matches back at those times as well, although it was a slight difference to that. Well, the only reason it really seemed different here was because she had just faced the same person twice in one week. For some reason, she really hated doing that. It was like going through the same thing all over again. Only good thing she could say about this was that it was quite funny in the process. But otherwise, it was still like going back and doing the same thing over again. Oh well, she thankfully could move on to other things now...unless of course Paris was able to pick up the win over Mari. That was definitely not going to be good. Phoenix just could not imagine facing her again so soon. She held her head almost causing herself a headache just at the thought of that.

Dimitri Babe?

She turned her attention to him.

Phoenix Hmm?

Dimitri What are you thinking about so hard?

Phoenix Oh just a few things. I was thinking about this past week, this current week, and the possibilities of Sunday.

Dimitri You have been quite a busy girl. If I was not taking a break from work right now, I probably would not be able to keep up with you.

She grinned. He was so right. She was glad that he had taken some time off from the office...albeit for some unfortunate circumstances. Either way, she was happy because he got to travel with her all the time now. He was like the hidden motivation that she probably needed to get her through it all.

Phoenix Yeah it has been. I noticed when they started booking for me all of it. But of course, I am not one to complain. It helps the record keep moving too, and that is a good thing. I will get a lot of recognition faster at this rate. Then again, I would not mind taking my time either.

Dimitri Too much for you?

Phoenix Not really. The way I look at it, it is just like when I was working for WWW and RWS at the same time. That called for a lot of work back to back so it is nothing new to me. I plan to go ahead and claim my spot in the title match after tomorrow night and then win the title. After that, I will take it a little easier.

Dimitri Yeah you probably need to.

Phoenix You just say that so I can spend some time with you.

Dimitri Oh I have a plan either way. If you do, we definitely will take a mini vacation. If not, I will make best of what I have even while you are working. At least if we go on a vacation, I can go back to work a lot happier.

Phoenix Well, we will see. Anyway, what did you think about my match Friday?

Dimitri I already had it in my mind that you were going to win. You must realize, I have never seen you lose.

Phoenix went into her thoughts for a minute. He was right. They had been together 10 months now and she had not won a match since well before she even met him.

Phoenix You know, I actually never thought of that until you just mentioned it.

Dimitri Yep...sure have not ever seen it. It would make you wonder if it is possible.

Phoenix Oh yeah...it is possible.

Dimitri I still figured you would win Friday regardless. You beat the girl Tuesday, so Friday did not look like much of a stretch for you.

Phoenix I was thinking I was supposed to lose.

Dimitri Why?

Phoenix She said she let me win.

Dimitri burst into laughter. Phoenix just looked over taken off guard by it. He was laughing hard and the loudness of it actually scared her for a second because she was definitely not ready for it.

Phoenix Really, that is what she said.

He was still chuckling but responded through it.

Dimitri Heh, let you? That is a good one there.

He wiped a tear or two away from his eyes. That is just how hard he was laughing.

Dimitri I guess she let you win Friday too?

Phoenix I am not sure just yet. She has not told me. She probably did though. It is all part of her master plan.

Dimitri To do what?

Phoenix That is the part I am having the most difficulty figuring out. The girl was fighting back clearly Tuesday and it just did not work. She fought much harder Friday and even that did not work. Tuesday's loss was supposed to make Friday's win that much better. It just did not quite go according to plan. That is, unless she has like some hidden plan behind even that.

Dimitri Sounds pretty stupid if you ask me.

Phoenix Well...yeah...I was just trying to apply reasoning to it like she did. It is so hard for me to think like she thinks though. I just cannot see it. It is like they say, if you want to catch a crook, you have to think like a crook. I am trying to think like her and so many others like her, it just still does not register with me. Oh well, all this thinking has made my head hurt. I better take a nap.

Dimitri Yeah, we should be in Tennessee soon.

Phoenix took her a nap and Dimitri just kept driving on into Tennessee. By the time he got to Nashville, Phoenix would awaken.

x~. Monday, February 9, 2009 - Admittance Is The First Step To Solving A Problem

Phoenix lifted her head and looked out the window to see exactly where they were. She saw the congested city of Nashville, somewhere she was not a stranger to. Her hometown where she grew up was only a mere miles away, so she visited here quite frequently back years ago. She knew exactly where her hotel was and she could tell that this is where Dimitri was headed. Of course, she had to change up the plans.

Phoenix Hey, take this next exit here.

Dimitri did as she asked and she led him through the town obviously having a specific location in mind for where she wanted to go. Eventually, they would pull up to a building that looked like a convention center. It probably was one, but Dimitri did not know. He was not familiar with the area and he was just as clueless about what Phoenix had up her sleeve. She did some things spontaneously and he could tell this was one of those things. Of course, he did not want to be left out in the dark too long so he had to question.

Dimitri Where are we?

Phoenix Nashville Convention Complex.

Dimitri The event is at the Sommet Center right?

Phoenix nodded.

Phoenix Yeah, but that is not why we are here.

Dimitri Well excuse my curiosity, but um....why exactly are we here?

Phoenix They have meetings here and I plan to attend one.

Dimitri rubbed his chin for a minute.

Dimitri I have known you almost a year now and I pretty much know what you are thinking and all of that. I am pretty sure this was not planned.

Phoenix Nope.

Dimitri So you are just about to barge in on someone's meeting?

Phoenix shrugged with a look that had to say, "what is the problem"?

Phoenix Yep.

Dimitri You sure that is a good idea?

Phoenix Probably not, but of course you know that will not stop me.

Dimitri Oh I know.

Phoenix But hey...I am Phoenix...it is what I do.

And with that, she got out of the car and started walking towards the front entrance. He just shook his head and followed. She was crazy as hell, there was no secret there. He figured he might as well go in just in case she did something crazy. You just never know what to expect from her. She truly went with doing what she wanted when she wanted. The bad part about that was that she did this wherever she wanted. They got into the hallway and started walking through. Phoenix passed a room and peeked her head in.

Phoenix Hey, what meeting is this?

Head Speaker Alcoholics Anonymous.

She nodded and closed the door. She was not an alcoholic. They continued passing a few more rooms. She could look at some of the people and see that she did not need to be in most of the rooms. She tried again.

Phoenix Excuse me, what meeting is this?

Head Speaker Anger Management.

She nodded again and closed this door. Now she probably would fit in pretty well with those people, but that was not her point for being there. She finally got to the room she was looking for. It was there for anything else that they did not have a specific room for. She went in and had a seat. Dimitri sat beside her and was just shaking his head most of the time. This sure made their relationship more interesting though. Going on these crazy escapades with her was definitely making his break from work worthwhile. Finally it came to be her turn and she stepped up to the podium. Dimitri just looked on from his seat.

Phoenix Good afternoon, my name is Victoria.

Room Hi Victoria.

Those people sounded like damn zombies or something. They were all monotone and stuff. She erased the thought from her mind and continued on.

Phoenix Yes, well I could not seem to find another meeting for this so I decided to visit this one.

Head Speaker That is fine. We handle all problems here.

Phoenix What if you have a problem with say.....winning?

The head guy looked a bit questionable at first but he figured if it was a problem, she might as well discuss it. He nodded in approval and she began.

Phoenix Well I am told that I have this problem with winning. I personally do not believe it is a problem, but it seems people feel that way.

The guy came speaking out in a calm tone and all.

Head Speaker Now Victoria...admitting is actually the first step of solving any problem.

Phoenix But that is the thing...I do not see the problem. I believe that I am taken wrong anyway.

Head Speaker Do explain.

Phoenix Very well. Okay first off, I work for a company that we will just shorten as WGEF. It is a wrestling organization, perhaps the last actual decent one left standing right now. Anyway, I have been on quite the roll since arriving there. I have won every match that they have placed me in. But of course, as with anything, you eventually have people who have bad things to say about that happening.

Head Speaker Well when did you first recognize this was a problem?

Phoenix Well as I said, I do not really see where the problem is, but it was brought to my attention recently. I have heard it before and I attended a meeting for it before. Now it was has been brought up enough times again for me to go through the process all over. See, people believe that I am only concerned with winning. They believe that I feel like I am better than everyone else.

Head Speaker Well, are these things true.

Phoenix Not exactly. I never have to tell people that I am better than them. They just of course eventually feel this way because of how they take things. I consider myself to be a realist. I like to tell things how they are. My philosophy is to just deliver the facts and people can perceive them however they want. The thing that people fail to realize is that you cannot change facts. Facts are reality. Just because I let everyone know that I will beat them, that supposedly is me saying I am better than them....I guess. I really would not be able to tell you because I just cannot seem to get my mind to think like theirs. Although, again, I never have to tell people I am better than them. They probably feel like that because they are so used to being below everyone else. But really, is that my fault?

Head Speaker I do not see how it could be. Where does the problem with winning come in?

Phoenix Well see, I talk about me winning and then it happens. The process just keeps going and going and going. I have not lost a match in a really long time. It has been well over a year...maybe even two years. But I work hard at what I do and people just enjoy what I do. That is why I do not see where the problem is.

Head Speaker So would you believe that people would rather for you to lose sometimes?

Phoenix Oh without a doubt. They would love that. I mean, it does happen, but is very rare. That is why I tell people I try to put all that I can into every match. If you do that, you get the best results out of every match. For the few times that I do lose, I just did not put enough. So you start working harder and eventually you get used to just working hard. The hard works actually seems easy to you and hard for others to keep up with. At that point, you get like I am now. But people do not like it. They start to make up things like they let me win. They start to come up with this ridiculous logic that it is not all about winning. They go on about win or lose, you go out and you give it your all and put on the best damn show you can. It makes no sense. No one has to let me win. True enough, I have a "problem" being that I am too arrogant, too cocky, too conceited, too self-centered...all of that. I am perfectly fine with those. But no one has to let me win. I am capable of beating just about anyone if I work at it. I have had a lot of close encounters, but I still prevail. But yes, I guess in some sense, it is not all about winning. I never said it was though. Of course, that does not stop me from what I plan to do, and that is win. Do you see people in the NBA talking about not winning? Sure, they got out and play the sport that they love out of the love for the sport. But just the same, they are looking to beat any team that steps onto the court. It might not happen all the time, but they sure aim for it to. It is the same for a football team. Why do you think teams work so hard at building undefeated streaks. People want to win. Saying that it is not all about winning is just something that some loser came up with to excuse his or her loss. I would agree that you should not get obsessive with the desire to win, but at the same time, I am not telling you to accept defeat. I am not telling you to let your guards down sometimes and get a nice refreshing loss. If you can win, win. If you cannot, fight harder and then win. Makes perfect sense. And last, Phoenix always goes out and entertains. I just happen to win as a result of it. Accepting failure has never been an option in anything I do. I work hard to be the best at anything I do. I might never be known as the best in this business, but I damn sure can say I did a good job trying. My record is evidence of it all, simply put.

The speaker was nodding his head. He could tell Phoenix was a rather smart lady. She could put logic and reasoning to things as well, but in a more sensible manner. There was absolutely nothing wrong with winning. If you never lost a day in your life, that was perfectly fine. If it was no secret that you are good and had what it takes to beat just about anybody, that is good. But I guess if you know you got a good chance of losing or that you are already beat, then accept failure. Make excuses for why you fail to succeed. If that copes for the losing, then by all means, go for it. Phoenix would stick to what she knows, and when the next lost came, nothing was going to change. She was still counting herself as a winner and no doubt about her abilities would be placed in her mind. She was not telling anybody they could possibly win. She gave credit where it was due if she felt the need...but most people took their credibility away when they opened their mouths anyway. That is why you hardly heard much from Phoenix as far as respecting their abilities or whatever.

Phoenix Well anyway, I know some people see it as a problem and some do not. But however it is viewed, I have another test tomorrow. I go against some girl named Adalyn Raine. I will start off by showing that Phoenix is still human. In reality, the girl is obviously pretty good. She was able to beat the current or former Women's Champion, whatever she is at this point in time. That is impressive. Phoenix is impressed. That in itself is an accolade. Even so, that in itself pretty much already makes her the number one contender. But, and this is the part that pisses people off, they are making her face Phoenix to actually get that spot. And although it was very impressive that she beat the champion, that was then, this is now. She has not beaten me. I am even going to say, she will not beat me. I guess that is where the problem really comes in. It is not really the winning thing, or not as much as said. It is more so because I tell you you cannot beat me. I tell you that I will beat you. Then you come and you try everything in your power to prove me wrong only to realize that I was right. Then you feel disgusted with yourself because you have fussed and kicked up dust trying to go against what I say only to have no choice but to accept it. So there it is. Under 24 hours, Phoenix meets Adalyn for a chance to fight for the gold Sunday. I want the gold and I am going to do what it takes to get it. Just for a side note, just in case some loser wants to start writing up some new logic to say to justify his or her loss....it is not all about championships. Phoenix has been singing that song for years now. Phoenix is a champion with or without the title. All in the same, Phoenix will not just lay down and let the opportunity pass her by. If the opportunity for the belt arises, Phoenix will take it and this is exactly what is going on here. Thanks.

The class...or whatever they were...stood up and started clapping. Phoenix nodded. She might have given these people something to think about in case someone ever tried to down them for something they felt was a problem. Some things that people believe are problems that others have are not actually problems. People just have a problem with that and they would be the actual ones who need the help. Jealousy and envy are two problems that many have. No particular names there but if the shoe fits, it is best to just wear it. Phoenix knew that people denied her and actually wanted her to deny herself...but she just refused. It was just not her nature...sorry.

OOC Statement: Ok...so here is one and definitely the only one that I will be able to do. Got to do some studying but I didn't want to just not show. Got a test tomorrow so I won't be able to post anything else...apologize if that turns out to be a problem...anyway...enjoy
