There seems to be no shortage of rumours surrounding one of the WGEF's youngest roster members as of late. Mari Saito has been on every gossip columnist's lips lately, with the biggest rumour being that she will be taking a brief hiatus from the ring to film a Hollywood movie.
No details could be confirmed at press time, but it was noted that Miss Saito - a native of Kyoto, Japan currently residing in Oceanside, California - was recently spotted in a prominent Los Angeles restaurant with three known power players in the Hollywood film scene. When asked about the meeting, Miss Saito played coy.
"Well, it's true. I did have a meeting with them. But nothing is set in stone yet. I've been doing so well in the ring lately, and I would hate to put it all on hold. But then again...it might be fun to give acting a try!"
Another rumour dogging the Japanese beauty happens to be one of the matrimonial variety. Saito's boyfriend, fellow WGEF superstar Phoenix Winterborn was recently spied exiting a downtown Los Angeles jewelry store, coincedentally the same day that Mari was meeting with the movie executives.
"What?! No, Phoenix and I aren't engaged!" she giggled to the paparazzi as she shopped earlier this week. "We are perfectly happy just the way we are. I mean, maybe later on down the road...but I don't want to jinx anything!"
