The potential torture match will seem less authentic and intimidating, and the main event wouldn't be seen as crucial.
I'd keep it a plain 6 Person over the top rope battle royal for contendership, or an Elimination Battle Royal for the title. Although it'd be pretty interesting to make matches throughout the shows to qualify in either form of match to have some storyline going. (Money in the Bank-esque)
