The New Year has started
With me stuck in bed.
But what am I doing with
A bucket on my head?

It wasn't long before a bright young sprout
Thought of mixing veg, gin and champagne
Put in a container and shaken all about
Came up with a cocktail with no name

A cocktail with no name
Must be anonymous,
Abstains from seeking fame,
And doesn't like a fuss.

This green cuisine
of the Cocktail Bar
from the ~ alluminium shaker,
gave waste the taste
if it was not based
on sprout's ~ 'Millenium' maker.

(sorry I'm so late popping in, been not too well lately)

Hope you feel better now, Zy ...Happy New Year

Now tis nearly a week
Since the veg started drinking
There was a sober leek
Who got to thinking
That if veggies had a ban
And only people got drunk
They could rule over man
The human race would be sunk

The human race would be sunk
Like Titanic under the floe,
But who would shift the weeds,
If humans were no more?

'The Day of the Triffids' popped into Sprouts mind,
he rolled it over then let it simmer inside.
Told a few of his friends to see what they thought,
a group meeting was called, his idea had been bought!

Eliminating humans, though it was quite bold,
It was quite easy for the poppies to be sold.
They'd seen in WW1 that it would be no bother
Just to let the humans cancel one another.

Yet ...left to themselves would all humans fight
Would veggies be able to claim their right
The triffid idea was, in the main
The way to cause death and pain

(Especially to vegetarians, lol)

The human race enslaved, by a cabbage
World all green, no longer ravaged
A venus flytrap on every street
Vegetairian plants, eating meat

King Edward potato ruling by decree
Soldier guards of celery
Humans have been given the boot
And the only blood spilled, is by beetroot

Do not despair people, all is not lost
We shall rule again, after a nasty frost
Black and dead, their leaves all curled
Ha ha again we rule the world......

And yet the cocas go to great pains
To flood the world with their cocaines,
And poppies are also doing their thing
To infiltrate with heroin.

Rape seed oil is doing its part
To clog the valves of the human heart,
And cannabis isn't far behind
To undermine the human mind.

Whilst fools snort and idiots inject
The majority are circumspect
May use alcohol in moderation
Things change with each new generation

King Edward issues his orders
To servants of the Jersey Royals,
"If you nourish my children with sherry,
You'll be rewarded for your toils."

So they did as they were told
And nourished the kids with sherry.
Meanwhile, after drinking beer,
The humans were quite merry.

Mr Cocoa Bean is coming in
To put the kybosh on Poetess Lynn.
Now that she's hooked on chocolate
It'll be the sealing of her fate.

Yes! Poetess is really hooked,
And her goose is truly cooked,
Though potatoes are no longer in,
Now that cooking vegetables is a sin.

Cooking sprouts can make you merry,
Especially when they're pickled in sherry
But if you want veg with nowt taken out,
It's better to grow them in the finest stout.
