Life Before Death
Life after death or heaven hereafter?
I have a lust for the earth below.
Tell me why I have to be a Powerslave!
Don’t lie! Don’t say you don’t know!
Heaven can wait.
Somewhere I hear a voice that’s calling.
This isn’t real this is only a dream.
We are sleeping and will dream evermore,
To find a world that you have seen.
Is death another birthday?
The sun is creeping in the sky.
I screamed aloud to the old man,
If there is a god why has he let me die?
Is it so hard to understand?
When you can’t find the words to say,
It’s hard to make it through another day.
As soon as you’re born you’re dying -
We get so near yet so far away...
Please tell me now what life is!
I feel myself falling back down to earth.
We can find something to wash the tears away,
But In my last hour I’m a slave to the power of death.
To this day I’ll never know -
My eyes they see but they can’t believe
The secret of the hangman, the smile on his lips.
Through the eyes of the future I see.
Life is just a strange illusion.
Time is always on my side.
Until I dance with the dead.
Your time will come.
