Having suffered a stroke 13 years ago, just lying there and hearing, but unable to move a muscle, the awareness of catatonic coma (the blood flow slows enough that there is no pulse rate readable) inspired this fear/dread of a premature burial.
The Carpenter's Box Is long and deep, It rocks and sways No more to sleep. . Muffled mumblings Hard to hear, Pillows of satin Touching near. . Obsidean darkness Hiding the hand, A scream vibrates Tries to understand. . Soil is shifting Piled overhead, Killing my cries, of "I'm not 'really' dead"
