What do you do when you think or know that someone is winding you up? How much is tolerable and reasonable? It's difficult for someone who has experienced abusive relationships to know when things are slipping too far into destructive again. The only way I can deal with it at the moment, is as soon as I hear something from anyone that I feel is uncalled for, is to either question them, or avoid them for a few days, until its passed, sometimes it really does blow over and becomes nothing, and then again, with others, some people permanently slip into the past!! We live and learn. But part of learning is that any form of put down or bullying shouldn't be tolerated. Although my mum and dad have put each other down regularly and now would seem to think they are at a workable point, who knows if there happy (seems questionable), but they couldn't be without each other. Things still seems stressful since xmas, this hugely long winter really isn't helping, lets hope for a little more pleasantness with the better, warmer, spring weather - just hurry up with it! I really hope your ok Rusty, and managing to get enough rest and relaxation time, time for you. Love and best wishes Susanne |
