I don't know if this has been already done, but whatever. Anyways, everytime I watch people go to the Temple of Fate, this question always pops into my head.
 
1. When teams are picking there dominant element, do teams press a button by the cauldrons for them to come up? I know they put there element on a rock and JD takes them, but how do they get the Cauldron to come up?

I believe that the camera men catch which element they choose, by zooming in on the rock. Then, they tell people somewhere near which button to press? That's what I always thought, because obviously if he drops them in the kettle of fire, the kettle doesn't magically do it.  Either that or they whisper it to JD.

Ive talked with Monroe from E3 and Michelle from E2 and they both said they write down their choices and give their rocks to a producer and then do it a second time for a dramatic effect for the show.
