Red Mountain. Every year, the city of Manitou Springs, basically a suburb of Colorado Springs, has a Coffin Race, dedicated to the memory of Emily Crawford. She was buried at the top of Red Mountain, but the grave was too shallow. A good rain came along and washed her coffin off the mountain to main street, Manitou Springs. |
