I Despair

So Cain killed Abel
 And so it begun
Now some men take the right
To kill another mans son

When will this end
When will they learn
Will they accept their sons death
When it comes to their turn

All men have the right to die
For what they believe
But not the right to kill
And make another man grieve

If you want to die for a cause
To show that you care
Then die like the boy
Under the tank in Tienanmen Square

Don't kill a mans child
And expect him to forgive
Because he'd lay down his life
To allow them to live

So where does it get them
All this blood and the hate
It gets their sons killed
As in our grief we retaliate

And so the circle whole
It never does end
As they kill and we die
And we war without end

They wave their fine flags
Their gods and their hate
And the innocent die
Because such is their fate

Woman or man
Girl or boy
When will they see
A life isn't a toy

I grieve and I weep
In the depths of despair
How can they kill
Without even a care

You murder our sons
Leaving just weeping mothers
Isn't it time that you learned
That all men are brothers
