Hi,this is my first posting. I have a Hatachi CW 40 and was wondering if there is any tricks to get a spiral blade in it without bending the blade on the bottom holder or does it just take practice.

I use spiral blades from time to time on my CW40 and I just insert them the same as you would any other blade. Just ensure that you don't set the bottom of the blade too deep in the clamp.

Slow down the tightening of the blade. It will usually cause the blade to turn as you tighten it but I haven't seen any problem with this. If it bothers you too much I have been told you can use a hammer and flatten the end but haven't tried this. Hope this helps.
