Hi All,

I'm looking for an inexpensive supplier for baltic birch plywood. Where do you buy yours? I've purchased from Sloan's in the past, but their prices have increased drastically.

Thanks for your input.

El

I purchase directly from a local wholesaler. The prices went up by 50% this year. They had a very wet season in the Baltic area and they weren't able to harvest that much wood. So price went up.

If you do a Google search you will find alot suppliers of Baltic Brich Plywood . But Also you will want too make sure you check them out. In the search I did ,I found a few that listed it but also said it contained boats (Patchs) on both sides. The good thing I found a new wood store for me that is like a hour away . Guess it  road trip time with the leaves changeing color should be a nice ride . (She said she wanted to go see them ) http://www.bristolvalley.com/catalog.asp?prodid=296590

To all
Sorry but I am very fortunate to live on Long Island N.Y.& have a fantastic plywood & furniture-lumber wholesale dealer nearby. Their name is ROBERTS PLYWOOD located in Deer Park N.Y. [they do not do mail order] they treat you the same whether you are ordering a 5x5 sheet of 1/8" baltic birch or a truckload of any product, plus being a member of The Long Island Woodworkers I receive a 10% discount [no kidding even on a order of 1 sheet of BB]
The last time I purchased a sheet i believe it was $.50 a square foot [$12.50] for a sheet

I read in a magazine that baltic birch was going up in price because a bad season for baltic birch logging that the weather was too wet to log and that prices were really going to to take a jump. good luck Howard
