I am new to scroll sawing and am curious how people put
the lines in the cutout, such as wrinkles on one's face, etc. Many times,
I can't cut on those lines because it will separate the pattern.
I am currently awaiting approval for my membership to
SSP.
Thanks |

A hole is drilled in each of the areas of the pattern . Then the blade of the scroll saw is inserted through the hole, the blade tightened, and the cutting is done . The blade is loosened and inserted in the next hole . David |

Seeing as you have posted to the thread bruffinit this means one of the moderators have already approved your application Ususally all black areas are cut out most designers stick to this rule of thumb and all designers print on the pattern if the white is supposed to be cut it happens on a few patterns(not many) so if its not marked cut out the black unless otherwised noted. hope this clears it up a bit Darryn A aka whitewolf710 Co-Manager |
