It is that time of year for Arts and Crafts shows, church bazars, and club craft fairs. How many of you out there are going to partisapate in one of these?
 Tell us about it.
What types of things are you doing?
( word art, portraits,ornaments,etc.)

Vicki

I used to do like 10 for xmas but I really only do a couple as things have slowed down so much! I scroll everything from ornaments to large pictures I turn pens and bowls on the lathe I do some pyroghraphy on my wood turnings and some carved pieces as keychains and such. I really hope by this time next year things will have picked up a little bit to make selling for everyone a little easier. have a good day Howard

I'm getting ready to do my first show tomorrow. It's just a small town show, but I guess you have to start somewhere. I have alot of Christmas ornaments and some halloween cuttings, alot of different things since I don't really know what will sell yet.

I have a show the 7,8,&9 of November. I agree Ben I have also cut a lot of different things because I can not guess what will sell. This too is my first big show with an attendence of 30,000 to 50,000.
Hope everyone who is doing a show, fair or bazaar does well. I have added a link to a few of the things that I have done.

I have only been scrolling for a few months but I'm preparing for my first show. It will be just a small flea market/craft show. Maybe 20 vendors. Lots of junk so I don't expect to do very well at all but still there is always a good advantage to have some of the best looking stuff, The crafters always seem to be selling. If I don't do this one then there is one in my old home town sometime in Dec. Its a Christmas Bazaar. That will be my second one I hope.

Did a fall festival at a ski resort last week.  Variety of items: from portraits, to Christmas ornaments, pens/pencils/wine bottle stoppers.  Best seller at this show was puzzles---dragons, griffons, unicorns, lions, etc.    My first show since relocating last year and made $800.   Still working full time with rotating shifts so it is hard to schedule shows more than a couple of weeks ahead.

have been to several fall craft shows this season and they have all had very low turn outs so far that latest one yesterday was 1/3 smaller due to fewer crafters signing up thankfully 1 of the regulars I always hook up with was there

Don't have any of that stuff, just, as Supervisor of the day shift, I always try to find time to do something for all the crew (wife is night shift) both day and night.  This year is sthe "Dancing Snowmen Mantle Clock" for all (30 total), but with a picture insert instead of a clock.  This is only displayed for Christmas Holidays, and the batteries would go sour before next year, whereas a picture will last forever.  Also will be cutting about 75 ornaments to give to the entire staff at work.  Just one of my hobbies, along with cutting every possible minute available.
