Hello All,

It's been a while since I've posted anything but then again I haven't done much since my back surgery (which went great btw). This pattern is Jeff Zaffino's American Bald Eagle. It took eight hours and twelve #2/0 spiral blades. I made the frame myself. This actually has a black backer to it also although it may not look like it because I took the picture against a black cabinet. I'll have more coming soon as it is finally getting cool enough to scroll again here in AZ.

Beautiful job! It turned out really beautiful, and was a nice touch with the different colors. Glad to hear that your back surgery went well, and that your on the mend.

Hi Al and Toni,

I'm glad that you liked it. I used paint markers from Michaels on the eye and gunstock color stain by minwax for the body. The head was just left the natural baltic birch color and I stained my frame cherry, also by minwax. Hope that helps.

That is a beautiful cutting, great job! I think with eight hours you also tested your back. Glad your back is well enough to do your projects, so we can see more of your work.
