I can't seem to come up with a decent way to display Xmas ornaments. Can someone give me an idea? I use lattice panels to hang a lot o my stuff on and a table for other things. Just don't like the looks of the ornament on the lattice and they don't seem to be that noticeable on the table. Mary |

Hi Mary! How about wiring imitation Christmas tree boughs to the lattice work, and hanging your ornaments off of the boughs---could give the booth a real Christmasy feeling. Just a thought!! dustycanuck (Dave) |

Mary,
When I did craft fairs, I used a very small artificial tree to hang the ornaments on to show what they would look like on the tree. The rest I had on long pegs on a peg board that I had fixed up to sit on top of my table.
Hope this helps you out just a bit. Brenda Roetcisoender ******************************************* http://www.BrendasWoodCreations.homestead.com/ ******************************************* http://www.lifeplus.com/healthunlimited *******************************************

Thanks a lot. I like the tree idea.

Mary, I also use a small tabletop tree. But if you're limited on your table space, you could cut a tree shaped pegboard, spray paint it pine tree green and hang your ornaments from hooks. You could also attach this to your lattice and I'm sure the green will show quite well on the lattice.

Hi Mary, when I did decorations at a fair I made a Christmas tree out of pegboard that was free standing. the ornaments hung from the pegboard. It was easy to set up and take down and took no space at all. |

I tried the tree display. It worked fairly well, but I came up with a different display that worked better. Took a 2' x 4' pegboard sheet, painted it dark green and hung everything I could on it, and attached it to my table. The dark green seemed to make the ornaments stand out really well. I display them in my shop on a 4' x 8' pegboard of the same color. The tree is a good idea, but it takes up space and at least in my part of the country, a lot of the ornaments aren't looked at as much as when they are all in one place where they can easily be seen. My wife and I use a tree with one of most of our ornaments on it. We were able to purchase two revolving displays with pegboard that we then hang our multiples on. This way people can see the ornament on a tree and then look through our supply to find a finsh they like. When we sell something off the tree we replace it with one from the revolving displays. The tree never looks empty that way. Sees to work for us. |

Granny We use a 5 ft artificial tree that we bought at walmart. A skinny one not the full size. It works great the ornaments are displayed the customer will probably display them in their own home. They have to work a little harder because they are tucked in among the branches but when they "discover" it jumps right up and says BUY ME. We have had people on their hands and knees searching for that prize ornament. It works for us. Jeff and CJ |

Hi Mary What colour are your lattice panels? I'm thinking your ornaments may be blending in too much with the lattuce. Also, ever consider using an artificial Christmas tree? Just a couple of suggestions; good luck! |
