I have not done a show before but would imagine you would need atleast another 2 portraits of the ones you'd consider to be popular under your table. Have a catalogue available showing all your portraits you have available in the case they get sold, that way if someone inquires about one you can show them what it looks like if they are interested in ordering one. Others who have done shows will be able to recommend more on this topic. Brett |

Got the business cards working on the order forms. The catalogue is something that will take sometime to do the show is on Oct 2 and that doesn't leave me much time. mike c. |

Brett what I think I will do is read through the posting it looks like there is enough information in this group to get me started. Thanks for the help Brett, going to get to work time is short. thanks, scrollpyro P.S. Gary there so much information in the groups that you could put together a book or two of the top scrollsaw tips for 2004 or 5. It doesn't have to be a big book just a little hand book that a scroller can put in side their shop for quick reference. Thanks Brett for the help. |

When I do a show I try to put one of everything I have.Istack cut 3 to 6 at a time so I have lots of extras. What I do is put the extras in a plastic container and take extra frames with me.That way whe I sell one I jus replace it with another one .I have the felt already cut so it only takes a minute to replace. I have sold as many as 4 of the same picture so you never know what will sell.Just my 2 cents. GOOD LUCK! Bobby |

Wide varity is best , or at least that is what I have found. My last 6 shows have all been varity selling which has been great because I haven't been depleted in any one catagory. I take that back... John Elway has been a huge seller and I bring 12 matted out 11x14 unframed. I have 3 different Elway portraits, but the Hall of Fame pattern made by Jerry ( rancher) Heritage Portraits, has been the big seller at $30.00 each unframed but matted. Check out my photo album for ideas on how to display a large varity of portraits in a small 10x10 space. Deb |
