just got back from a very large and very well organized craft show in Stanly Idaho this past weekend.
Estimated crowd=8000
sales were excellent
the organizers went around and juried all the booths to make sure everyone was in compliance and no junk or store bought stuff.
no sales before 10am or after 6 on sat, 4 on sunday.
Had lots of compliments on my booth and artwork.
even had a fellow scroller come by while packing up to go home. He wanted to compliment my work (great pat on my back)
Looked at lots of different booths, canopies etc.
Some crafters really have a fourtune invested.
lots of full time crafters. Met several from Salmon and Carmen Idaho.
Had a couple all the way from Salt Lake (about a 6 hour drive)that do 11 shows a year (full time crafters)
will post lots of pics later this week.

Congratulations on the craft show sales, sounds like attending the larger shows are the most successful

You got the big shows right.
this is the Mountian Mamas 28th year
8-10,000 attend each year with a few celebrities sometimes.
Am planning on next years projects , plans and booth corrections.

What sold the best and if you do not mind me asking what were your prices.
I tend to believe you can sell more at a lower rate than a very high price, but enough to make it worth your time.

How much did you have to pay for your booth???

Hi all: This isn't for scroll work but I do need advice. We are making 22 bar tables for a customer. Size is 5 foot circles in 3/4" red oak. They are buying all materials. We just have to plane and biscuit the oak together then cut out the 5 foot circles and install on iron bases that they are providing. I need some idea as to what to charge them. Normally our cost includes materials and everything so am a little clueless on this one. Thank you
Vicky

i would charge a hourly rate for your time, so you figure what your time is worth whether it be 25 an hour or more its up to you. hourly rates differ in in different parts of the country.  Good luck
