Hi gang, hope everyone is getting ready for a relaxing Thanksgiving and about to put finish coats on Xmas.....I am wondering if anyone has built a stand/table for the 788 so as to be able to sit down comfortably in a chair to work with it.   I really hate the thought of buying another stand to start cutting down so thought I would check with the people in the know.  Love my saw and am looking foward to spending more time with it so I want it down at a work height that I can comfortably spend time.    Any help or pics would be appreciated.........Ray

ray,

I dont have the same saw i have a dremel. 1680 which came with a tall stand. but, i too cant set on bar stools, so i set about making myself one. with lots of procrastination and fore thought i found my favorite chair and did measuring accordingly, finding the heigth of the table to be about 24 inches "your milage may vary" i built a small cabinet with 4 drawers from 1x4 & 1x8 pine and luan, with the back over 4 feet tall i made an over head shelve and hung my lighting from it.  and made provisions to hang my power carver or dremel, flex shafts ect, on the back side  the drawers store bits blades drill bits and other small tools.

the drawers are shorter than the cabinet with stopblocks to keep from pushing them too far back in the case and they have stop blocks to keep from pulling them out too far.

i put several magnetic tool holders on the side to hold measuring tools and most usefull tools at the saw.
becuse i can set for hours i dont want to get up and dig for tools, loosing concentration on my projects. getting old is rough, takes all day to do what you could do in minuets when younger.

i might be able to make a drawing, but mu camera isent cooperating.
