darylh7 brought up a good question for discussion.
Beside your scrollsaw what tools do you find you use the most and find the most useful in your work?
What is the most indespensible tool in your arsenal and what do you wish you had?

I use my table saw, hand sander, and rotary tool on just about every project.  The rotary tool is filling in for a drill press and on small projects I use it as a router too.
I would love to add a full size drill press and a surface planer but I don't have enough room in the spare bedroom used as a shop.  Maybe in 2 years when I retire and move out of this house I'll have enough room to set up a proper shop and include a lathe as well.

I use my Delta disc belt sander combo a lot, it sits on the bench next to my saw and I usaully hold my pieces on the belt to take off any fuzzies left over from sawing, and I usually turn on my midi lathe atleast 2 nights a week it helps me unwind, keep the sawdust flying, woodman

Love to add a lot of tools, but a drum sander machine would be great to have

Ouch! Tough question. I have a table saw, circular and jig saws and a router. The most useful tool and on i use all the tiime other than my scroll saw is a 10" drill press. Happy and healthy 2006 to all.

I have most of the normal  tools ,plus a Drum Sander, and I find that I use this more than my planer, I resaw most of  the wood on a 14 inch band saw then just sand it
That   way  I am sure that all the wood for any one project  is all the same size.
 even  down to 1/8 inch.

Will- Good tool to have, however, mine seems to be hindsight. This is because I  take my time doing something so I don't screw up, but when I get close to finishing something, then I start to rush as I want to be finished and onto something new.
This is where my hindsight kicks in- right after I screw up.
Wiredheart.

I have a orbital sander, table saw, planner, band saw, drill press and oscillating spindle sander. I would be lost without any of them but especially the drill press and orbital sander. I would love to get one of those "flea" sanders but I saw the price of one the other day!  I would love to get a joiner though! Oh, and a bigger shop!

DeWalt crosscut saw, 12" bandsaw, small router, 12" disc sander, 4" belt sander, bobbin sander and a 1" vertical belt sander.
The crosscut and bandsaws are the most indespensible machines as they save so much time !
As for a wish.....I wish I had a bigger workshop !!

I use my Mouse sander By black and Decker it is small but yet it is just what i need to sand projects i do. and it fits in my hand better then the big  sanders.  I can't think of a tool I hate in my shop  But maybe the heater. and i would like to have another foot pedal  switch  for my other scroll saw. i have one on my Delta  saw and i really like it a lot, more control over the saw and both hands are free to hold the wood.

Basic tools I cannot do without are orbital sander, drill press, disc sander and dust extractor. The latter may not be categorised as a 'tool' but is the most indispensable in my workshop. On my wish list is a bandsaw so I can do my own resawing.
