hello everyone, i have a dremel scroll saw mounted on the metal dremel stand that comes with it and it vibrates alot when i use it . i was wondering if there is something that i can so to stop that or if i just have to live with it. it is vibrating to the point where i can hradly see the line im cutting and it is pretty annoying.

thanks in advance for all the help and happy scrolling.

Kris

Two things you can try. Put a piece of rubber or carpet underlayment between the table and the saw. Second is to add some weight to the legs of the stand. Some people have put a shelf under there and added bags of sand or concrete. Also make sure it is on solid floor and not a plywood floor that has give to it. Aside from that sell it and get yourself a real saw. Dewalt 788 is a begining. Any of the higher priced saws are well worth the money.

Hey Kris  I have the Dremel with the stand too. First thing I did was take the stand and put a small table saw on it then I built a heavy wooden stand for my Dremel. I put a piece of carpet under the saw too. Hardly any vibration at all and didn't have to buy a 500.00 saw.  give that a try.  gw

that gave me a good laugh ..... pretty funny clockman... thanks for all the advice ill try building a heavy table and putting something in between the saw and the table. if that doesnt work ill save up all my money and buy a new saw.
