I want to thank everyone for trying to help with the dewalt 788. I just got it back from the shop. Well its worse then when it went in. So now im going to get a new saw. So can someone tell me dewalt or excalibur. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

red855, after reading this post and your last one and you are considering another Dewalt?? I would tell the shop to either fix the one you have or give you another saw, is it still under warranty?

I would make the shop fix it right or replace it if they can't. I have had my DeWalt for 2 1/2 years and never had a problem. Some day when I get rich I'll upgrade but now the DeWalt has been great for me.

Hi Red;
I've had an Excaliber 24 for many, many years and have never had a problem with it.  They may cost more, but in my opinion, if you want something that's going to last----.
