hello,,,, there are alot of good answers here, and I have done some of them too,,,,, but I have the answer for the depth of throw, and ust about every other drilling problem,,, try the powermatic drillpress.

It ha a full 4 1/4 in quill throw, biggest I have heard of and used.

huge table, lazers, LED lights built in, all bells and whistles.

Less money than the Radial arm press you had thought about.

Just check it out, I am sooooooooo glad I did.
