I looked over in documents and didn't see any valentine's day theme show folders - other than the obvious: death by chocolate.
Anyone have any good ideas? I'm planning on the microcake in the fluted pan, so I'd like something like an appetizer, maybe a heart-shaped pizza? Use the heart-shape cookie cutter from the kid's cookie set and make mini-pizzas? Is there such a thing as a romantic appetizer? I also thought about doing a heartshaped brownie pizza on the round stone, but I get such positive responses with the microcake, I'd hate to not demo that and I don't really want to do two different desserts, kwim? Any ideas welcome.
Thanks!! Shannon |

It's an old recipe but I like the "Hearts of Fire" think I'd mentioned it on one of the old boards... got it from my ED. spread brownie mix in a heart shape on the lg roud stone w/parchment on it- can use the old heart-shaped insert from the springform pan if you have it, just makes it thicker. If you like more crunch, like a cookie, make it thinner (will not use the whole mix) but it will spread a bit. bake & let cool, then spread with cream cheese mixed with powdered sugar - I forget the proportions, just do it to taste, no more than 1/4-1/2 cup if I remember right. I don't like it really sweet, so I never use that much. Finally top w/dark cherry, cherry or strawberry pie filling & sprinkle with more Powdered sugar & Voila! yummy!! Kim |

I don't know about recipes, but here are some fun ideas I try to incorporate into my shows and newsletters around Valentine's Day. Nothing says I love you more than a fabulous meal! Pampered Chef is committed to bringing families back to the table. Make your family a nice meal for Valentime's Day to show them how much you love them! Place a Valentine's card under each plate at dinner. Then as each person takes thier plate to the sink after the meal, they'll find the card hidden! There's also the Strawberry thing where you take the v-shaped cutter and make the strawberry into heart shaped slices. I show that quickly and suggest putting the strawberries on top of pancakes in the morning or dessert that night. Celebrate matters of the HEART all year long with Heart healthy meal ideas found in our It's Good for You cookbook! I know I have a file somewhere with more ideas I gave at a Valentine's thing for this women's group. I'll see if I forgot anything or can come up with other fun ideas! Michelle |

I am making a basic brownie in the Rectangle Baker. This can be made ahead of time and cooled. Cook on parchment paper - enough so that you have extra to grab on to, to remove the entire brownie from the pan for cutting. Cut brownie hearts with the Creative Cutters. Dipping the tops in Cool Whip and sprinkling with red sugar. (The extra brownie bits won't go to waste. Have your host save them and mix them into chocolate pudding for a family dessert.)
The other recipe I am doing is Apple Berry Salsa with Cinnamon Tortillas. I am making the tortillas ahead of time so that I can cut them into heart shapes. It is simple to do. Microwave the tortilla for 5 seconds to make it pliable. Fold into a triangle (fold in half, then half again, and one last time.) Next cut the "top" of the heart with kitchen shears. Unfold brush with water, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, then cut the "edges" with the pizza cutter.
I have four Valentine shows and am doing the same at all of them. Sue |

I was thinking of promoting the Cooking for Two cookbook for VDay. Recipes that are a little different than the everyday and don't need to be made kid friendly. Keep the cookbook for special occassion meals. |
