Ok, this should be reeeeeeally EZ stuff....

And now our next product for the TOP TEN GAME is......

The FOOD CHOPPER!!!

1. FIVE-Year Guarantee!!! Try to beat that w/one of those cheapie $9.95 TV deals where you can get "2 for the LOW LOW price of $19.95 money back guarantee" Yeah, right. Read the small print. They usually just give you 30 days, 90 days if you're lucky!

Now..... Tag!! You're it!!

Marian

PS Once we're done w/a Top 10 List ANYONE is welcomed to jump in & be the one to pick our next TOP TEN PRODUCT!!

2. The food chopper comes completely apart.  You don't have to worry about what might be lurking inside the chopper like some of those cheap ones out there!

3. Hide those veggies in your kids' food (or hubby's)!  The food chopper chops anywhere from coarse to very fine depending on how much you bang on it!

7. Blade Guard helps keep food down near the cutting edge & prevents food from riding up on the sides of the blades. PLUS the blade guard gives you a 3-pronged positioning guide to assist you in its proper placement. Cheap knock-off FCs do not offer this 2-in-1 feature.

8. The size of your food .... depends on your mood

I know someone sorta said this, but this is what I always say followed up with the chopper gives you control over the size, which your really don't with a food processor.

To demo the chopper, hold it up before you use it and take it apart
"see, it's only 4 pieces, all DW safe"
When you show the body, hold one of the sides so it falls open in front of them - don't hold the plunger. put it back together - I'll say first you put on the blade guard, then this circle thing, then chop! Then make 3 piles of whatever you have to chop on a cutting board. Pass around the bar board so they can experience both chopper and board. Then explain how you have control over what you are chopping.

Lets pretend this is an onion. With about 5 chops, you can chop your onion
to the consistancy that's perfect to top hot dogs, brats or chili. A few more chops - chop the 2nd pile about 10 times - and you can add this to a recipe like spagetti sauce or whatever. then chop the 3rd pile about 20 times -

If you do it a bunch of times you can chop that onion to a consistancy that the kids won't be able to pick it out of a meatloaf! That always gets a laugh and a bunch of heads nodding. Then show the 3 piles so they can see the different chops - you can use the onion example even if you are chopping peanuts - just pretend its an onion.

This is the way to paint pictures and sell the benefits and still mention a few of the features they want to know about. Don't forget to mention guarantee, and bookings here, too. Also invite someone up to use it. They will buy it if they use it.

Adding a link to this most helpful discussion to this thread so that it won't get buried on the General board:
