Allow me to be the first person in the world to confess: I have no idea what Taylor Hicks sounds like, I don't own a Clay Aiken or Kelly Clarkson CD, and I think Simon Cowell is kinda sexy in a snarky sort of way. Now that everything's out in the open, here's my thought:
I have a potential host who asked me if I ever do an Americal Idol theme, so I'm trying to come up with some ideas to run by her. The only times I've actually watched the show are when the really awful people are on at the beginning of the season, though, so I'm kind of at a loss.
Here are a couple of ideas I'm toying with:
* Audition Time: Invite each guest to demonstrate a product. Give other guests those little plastic clappers, so they can applaud and make a big deal out of it when the auditioner is done.
* Take Ryan Secrest's Job: Play a game in which each guest gets to introduce someone else and tell something wonderful about them. Whoever comes up with the best intro gets a prize, like a quick-cut paring knife or a SB cookbook.
I'm pretty sure there's a Paula Abdul/Quik Stir Pitcher in there somewhere too :)
Anyway, I know you guys are creative and clever -- what else can we add to this?
