Who here has ever used Live Spaces? Or that ... whatchamacallit thing that they're changing groups to? Multiplication something?
 
I've been piddling around with those and I just do not like them. I think MSN will lose a lot of folks over this change.

From what I've seen...they send you email of posts, no matter what you do. They actually put your city and state on your profile so that everyone can see it. And anywho who is a member can delete or edit posts.

It's a fancier, more private immitation of MySpace.  MSN neglected to promote it when it first provided the software so it isn't that popular.  It wouldn't work for a group imo.

MSN Live space is limited in what they let you do to customize the space.
You can't scroll any of the blogs like you can on MySpace.
 
I made a practice one on Multiply and am trying to work out the kinks in the CSS. No. I am not going to rely on MSN's claims of " ...an easy and seamless transfer of the group....'. Trying that when they moved groups to World was the biggest FUBAR there was.
 
 I have a little trouble remembering what I have to add so it looks OK in FireFox. Having a WYSIWYG editor  like Multiply has is OK but you stiill can't get things where you want them. I guess I'm just a plain ole HTML girl....

They haven't launched Windows Live Groups yet.. not til November.. and its meant as the alternative or replacement for the groups we have now.. but you'll have to migrate your stuff yourself.. they're selling all our efforts here to Multiply and all this will be automatically migrated there..

whats that I smell? hundreds of groups being blown up before the migration???

which boils down to.. if there are entire threads or pic files you are attached to.. well.. go save em to somewhere else.. soon..
