You should like that new band show AI has been promoting, then.

 

Unless they're looking for the next big wedding reception band, lol.

 

This whole season is boring to me, breeze. It just sucked...

 

That's not to say there was absolutely no talent in the bunch - I think Melinda and Jordin are incredible vocalists. But I'm sick to death of the material they use, not to mention the "typical" contestent.

 

But this is based upon the original show from UK, "POP" Idol.....it's clearly about pop music and the fact that they've had rockers (and country crap, lol) is more coincidental - they certainly didn't have that the first season, not really. Anyway, I think that's why you and I get bored with it, it's just not our thing as a rule.

 

That said, I do love watching for talent, I appreciate true talent, so I deal with the boring songs, the often horrible arrangements, the stupid comments from some of the judges, and the insipid, wish-he'd-get-fired host.....just so I can get glimpses of great vocals.

 

I think Melinda has a phenomenal voice. The style of music she's perfect for (well, ok, she can do a huge range, but whatever) may not be my preference, but I still love her voice. And Jordin can really belt 'em out, too. Man, when she did "I Who Have Nothing", I got chills several times. I realize it's the song that does that to me, but her voice doing it certainly had a lot to do with it.

 

 

I want another Rock Star show, too, but hopefully without the whole Tommy Lee and the Wanna Be gang mentality, lol. I'm rather intrepid about the AI people putting together this band thing.....but we'll see, lol.

 

LOL, not "intrepid" - I changed my mind on what to say, but didn't change my wording. I mean I'm hesitant to see the new show.
