If you get a chance to see the preview for Thursday's show again pay special attention to the scene with Kate in it.

Nuff said.

You could very well be right Torty.  TPTB like to play with the editing of previews of the following week.  But wouldn't the scenerio be interesting?

yeah it would be interesting, but not very unpredictable either though, given the whole time-travel-glitch element, but my main question about the time travel hiccup is if island is stuck in time, then when the helicopter or whatever leaves it to go back to the boat, like, wouldn't it get back to the boat before it left the island?

anyway, not that i expect that sort of logistic problem to be ironed out and explained in full, naked view, rather except that there's a hitch in the laws of physics and idea of space and time that so allow for such a linear path to be travelled along a set coordinate route that will take those from the present to those in a delayed past, but just it's just a funny wrinkle in the brain when you consider what you're being shown

It seems that some explaining needs to done.  Do you remember the interview when the show began with the producers where they said that everything about the show would be explained by the end of the series rationally, in the realm of reality?  I don't think that they will be able to explain everything like they said they would in the beginning.

Yes! I love that there's some sort of time warp or something....cuz then they can come back in time to prevent whatever-it-was that happened that made Jack - at the end of last season (or was it just before the strike?) when they started the flashforward and we saw Jack all jonesed-out - contact Kate and say they never should have left the island. There's something to that and I think once they "catch up" to the flashforwards (by giving us the flashbacks, lol), they can spend the next season getting back to island to set things right. I hope. LOL

And finally we get our numbers back!! Hurley bolted so fast from that car, I thought he'd have a stroke or something.

And that C4 on the boat - was the plan all along for those 'bad guys' that left to boat to blow it up in absentia and never to return to it? If so, are they trying to take over the island? Oh yeah, they're working for that dude that wants to take over the island.

And by "move the island", could they mean merely move it in time, not in space?

I LOVE this freakin' show, man. LMAO!!

I dunno, hiccup, but I love that guy.... I've wondered for some time now if he's actually Jacob....but anyway, like i said yesterday, he's got a supranatural existence on the seemingly bad or dangerous side, whereas the black guy who has now visited Locke and Hurley (earlier) also has a supranatural existence only on the seemingly more angelic side

anyway, yeah the mercs maybe aren't planning a return to the boat, thereby not planning to torch the island afterall, just to seize Ben and wipe out the other inhabitants.  But of course lacing the boat's hull with C4 and strapping the remote detonator on the arm of the commander may just be a contigency plan since it's best to have multiple avenues to victory by keeping all the bases covered.   I would guess they would probably like to secure the island and keep the boat --since, you know, why wouldn't you want such a boat at your disposal if you're going to be a lost islander (the others did have that sub to go back and forth afterall)-- and then return and do away with the members of the boat's crew, since you wouldn't want people not committed to the cause left as witnesses nor hindrances.  But, if the only way it can be guaranteed that word of what went down doesn't get off that boat means you give up the vessel by explosion, then that's the final solution on that matter.

And Sun just owned her dad!  Quite a change from being a demure yielder!
