Hi to anyone that may read, like Kristen.

I'm seven months now and i feel the baby kick quite a bit. Originally the gender was to be a surprise because my husband wanted to wait to find out, but one of the midwife/dr's accidently let it slip, so now it's not a secret anymore. and it is....a

BOY!

have you found out yet? i'm sure you probably have, but i'm not around very much.

for the first name we are thinking 'zareth' which will be short for 'nazareth', but he will be called 'zareth'.

my health and the baby's seems to be great, but i do have episodes of just about every crazy symptom. i have terrible heartburn sometimes...last night it was so bad that it woke me up and had to vomit because of it.

the attached pic is of me and my husband a couple of weeks ago.

Awww congratulations!

I am having a boy too! That will make 5 for 5 of the last Loft babies to be boys. My little guys name will be Logan Michael.

I am about five-ish months now. I'm feeling him kick a lot more too. He wakes me up sometimes with kicks! And I've been getting awful heartburn too yuck. Oh, and headaches! I have been getting awful headaches. Has your pelvic bones been hurting? Mine do after work.. it sucks.

Have you been getting things for him yet? I think we are getting the crib today!

I always check this board.. just to see if anyone had written anything. : )

both boys! wow, there are lots of boys recently on here; it's funny because most others that i know are having girls.

i don't really get too many headaches or pelvic aches yet, but i get leg cramps sometimes and the ones in the middle of the night are killer! and i get constipated, hemorroids(i think), stuff like that.

oh, and i nearly passed out when they took the blood for my glucose screening. i got really hot and sick to my stomach. both i didn't have gastastional diabtes, at least. do you have to do that screening, too?

i have trouble shaving. can longer see a certain area. ha. can you? what do people do about that?

i try to do some excercises like squats, walking, pelvic rocking. are there any excercises that you do?

i have gotten some things, but not too much b/c we are moving soon. my dad is letting us have a crib, but i want to get a bassinet soon! and a car seat/stroller.

i keep thinking.....less than 3 months and i will be having a baby. :-/    i know it happens all the time, but i think about things a bit too much. i can't believe i am going to give birth. are you nervous? what do you do to make sure you are relaxed and prepared? i am nervous, but really really excited too, eh?

Here's a shortened version.

Today is 4 months from my due date.. I can't believe that's all I have left! I'm scared of labor and delivery. I am a huge baby when it comes to period cramps, so I can only imagine how I'll be for contractions! I do plan on an epidural but I'm still scared of tearing/episiotomies.

I haven't taken the glucose test yet, but I am assuming that will be happening in the next month or so.

We went shopping today for some little things. As for big things, we are trying not to buy them until at least after the baby showers. I think a few people are going to go in for the big things. And also we are hopefully moving before the baby arrives. (If we sell the condo in time!) Nick's parents are buying us the crib and today it looked like they were going to buy the changing table/dresser as well! Yay!

Shaving: I belong to www.babycenter.com and we were actually just talking about this the other day. We all came to the concensus that doctors see so many hoohas that they don't really care about the state of them! I can still see for now, but not much longer! I am starting to get big (will post a pic later). I am having trouble tying my shoes though.

I think that's about all I had in the last post.. just a little summarized lol.

thanks, godiva! we had really like the name 'gareth', too, but ended up liking zareth betterh anyway since gareth could be shortened to gary.

kristin, you still have a belly button! that is awesome. the belly looks great! um, mine does not go in anymore. it is rather flat now.
i'm scared of tearing, too. i'm trying to find out ways to reduce the likelihood, but i know that sometimes it is just inevitable.
yeah, i think it is my pride that does not want my nether region to be bushy. also, i'm so used to keeping it trim for around my husband, just because i feel awkward and kinda gross when it grows some. and you know, the poor little baby fellow...he's gonna have to come out of the forest when he arrives.

ummm well i found this.......it's from an artical regarding an episiotomy.....

The role of tissue massage

To soften the vaginal tissues for delivery, some health care providers suggest massaging the area between the vaginal opening and anus (perineal massage) in the last weeks of pregnancy. Although there are no guarantees ?and you don't have to do it if the idea makes you uncomfortable ?stretching the tissues may reduce vaginal trauma during delivery.

Start by washing your hands thoroughly with soap and hot water. Make sure your nails are trimmed. Then rub a mild lubricant (K-Y jelly, Astroglide, others) on your thumbs. Place your thumbs inside your vagina and press downward toward your rectum. Hold for five to 10 minutes. Repeat once a day until delivery.

Your partner can help, if you wish. It's normal to feel a little burning or other discomfort as you stretch your perineum. Stop if you feel sharp pain.
