The first time I saw you I was new

    You held me in your arms so afaird you would break me

                    You watched over me ever so lovingly

               You protected me and made sure I was safe

                 You made sure I had everything I needed

                    You cryed when I took my first step

             The day I started to school you held my hand

                      You taught me how to ride a bike

        When I got to be a teen I said you didn't understand

                It wasn't you that didn't understand but me

       You gave me everything I needed to be a good person

                                      I love you Dad

       We layed you to rest but you will ever be here with me

                            The things you taught me

                  I learned well and I will pass them on

                    Through this you will live forever
