Marijuana has many folk names......Chanvre, Gallowgrass, Ganeb, Ganja, Grass, Hanf, Kif, Neckweed, Tekrouri, Weed, MaryJane

Healing, Love, Visions, Meditations.....and now used for Some Cancer and very ill patients for pain control. (it does come in pill form now, but ONLY by Dr Perscription)

It was once widely used in magic, restricted in the 1930's and then outlawed.

To obtain a wife or husband, it was said that if you recited the "Hempseed Spell" and took a handful of hempseeds and circled a church 9times at midnight (preferably as Midsummer begins) repeating these words :
Hempseed I sow, hempseed I sow,
Who will come after me and mow?
You will see a vision of your future spouse. LOL and the church might get in trouble for home grown goods

Marijuana was once used for vision quests and scrying incenses...the smoke opened the psychic senses. Scourages of Hemp were used in China as immitation snakes they beat them against the beds of the sick to drive out the malicious, illness-causing demons.
NOT A RECCOMENDED MEDITATION HERB I SUGGEST. besides ROFL it's illegal.

Dr's have found that the use of marijuana in very ill patients (patients without hope) helps eliviate some pain and allow the patient to live quietly and stress free thier last time on this plane. Some Patients have also been given (in various states) permission to grow thier own garden for medicinal purposes.

( Again this is NOT RECCOMENDED BY ME)

Blessings
RA

    StregaDiva,
I have always thought of marijuana as a great herb for meditation, creativity, pain, and anxiety!!! It works Great!!!  Illegal or not I feel more people should accept the fact that this herb has many great purposes and does very little to no harm!!
Thank you for writing this by the way because I tried to write a discussion on this topic on Misty Visions and MistyBlue would not allow it. I would love to discuss this more with others if possible!! Thanks

I have to agree Risa13. I find that maryj is helpful in relaxing after a stressful day at work. When the kids are gone and no one is home, this is a time to enjoy the peace that only comes once and awhile. I think it is good for your mind in the way that you can focus on a quiet moment and gather your racing thoughts. It slows you down. I think people need to slow down. I find nothing wrong with this herb, but people can abuse it and they often do. If maryj becomes like cigarettes, then its not for you. If it becomes an addiction, an every day way of life, then I think its wrong to consume so much, spend so much money, and become lazy and selfish. Maryj is something that should be enjoyed every once and awhile. It is natural, and can help relax and calm the nerves. I wish people in general wouldn't take it for granted and abuse maryj. Addictive personalities should stay away from any drug or herb. I know, but who am I kidding?? LOL
