Read Scriptures: Exodus 9:1 - 10:29
Situation: Moses began to reveal the majesty of God through individual miracles and plagues. The first plagues turned the Nile to blood and infested the country with frogs, gnats, and flies. Though the entire country of Egypt suffered these plagues, the king refused to free the Israelites.
Observation: Pride makes us stubborn. Not only is pride unattractive, it can be ruinous {like it was to Pharoah}
Application: What are some ways your pride has kept you from God? Has it ever ruined you? Acknowledge your bent toward independence and ask the Lord to rid you of your self- reliance.
