Read Scriptures: Exodus 17:8 - 18:27
Situation: The Amalekites, descendants from Esau hated the Israelites. God gave Moses victory against this enemy. After the victory Moses was visited by his father-in-law Jethro.
Observation: Moses knew that the Israelites required God's help if they were going to survive the Amalekites' attack. Moses relied on God's power and gave Him credit for victory. Both large and small challenges are opportunites to rely on God for strength.
Application: Meditation on the character of God by reviewing the names of God. Think about how each characteristics can provide you with ongoing strength and power.
