Today's Scripture
Proverbs 5:11-13
In the end you will groan in anguish
When disease consumes your body.
You will say, “How I hated discipline!
If only I had not ignored all the warnings!
Oh, why didn't I listen to my teachers?
Why didn't I pay attention to my instructors?
At the end of your life, it will be too late to ask for advice. When desire is fully activated, people don't want advice--they want satisfaction. The best time to learn the dangers and foolishness of going after forbidden sex ( or anything else that is harmful/sinful ) is long before the temptation comes along. Resistance is easier if the decision has already been made. Don't wait to see what happens. Prepare for temptation by deciding now how you will act when you face it.
God's Word is the greatest Truth we can take with us!! When someone is giving you godly advice, why not listen and take it to the Lord in prayer. Don't wait until it's too late.
Heavenly Father, we love You and we thank You for Your Word and it's Truth.
Father, help us to seek Your Truth and the advice of other godly influences in our life.
Guide us as we decide our reaction to temptation long before it arrives.
In Jesus' Name we pray, Amen..
God bless!
Love in Him Who Saves,
April
