SAVIOR
Savior means salvation and deliverance
being limited to God as Savior and the deliverance he brings
In the New Testament
The angel in Bethlehem announced the
birth of a Savior in the town of David
Luke 2:11
Townspeople in Sychar after meeting Jesus told the
Samaritan woman
"We know that this man really is the Savior of the world
John 4:42
SALVATION involves DELIVERANCE
God is the one who has brought deliverance.
The Lord himself brought deliverance to his people
against the Moabites and the Ammonites in the days
of Jehoshaphat 2 Chr. 20:17
My soul will rejoice in the Lord
and
delight in his salvation
Psalm 35:9
Surely God is my salvation; I will trust
and not be afraid
Isa. 12:2
Salvation brings deliverance and victory
Victory is achieved through the Lord's help and presence
as we acknowledge the Lord's presence and so seek His help
Only the Lord himself can be our source
yet how often to look to man for that which only
God can do
How can we make Him Lord when we so often
fail to comprehend to benefit of Christ
as our Savior
Let us draw nigh and so digest of the depth of
His love and presence
