CORE NEEDS OF INDIVIDUALS
There are basically 4 root problems in any situation which include:
-
hunger
-
tiredness
-
loneliness
-
anger
These can be involved in the natural physical realm, the emotional realm, the mental realm as well as the spiritual realm.
HUNGER can include being naturally hungry as well as being emotionally hungry for someone to care or for acceptance or understanding. It can include mental hunger for peace. God's word reveals we can be spiritually hungry for the righteousness and peace which only God can bring
In each of our hearts there is a hunger which only God can fill and so satisfy. Is there a hunger to know yet moreso of the reality of Christ? Is there a hunger for the revelation of truth found in the word of God? Is there a hunger to so encounter Christ bringing our emotions and feelings into the stillness of His presence?
Come ye who hunger and thirst after righteousness and so be filled absorbing of the fullness thereof Matthew 5:6
TIREDNESS can include natural exhaustion as well as being tired of numerous problems. The mind can be tired from mental stress and the emotions can be tired from reoccurring problems that seem to have no end in site. Spiritually we can be tired when we focus on the wrong thing but God's word reveals to have a single eye for Jesus whereby our whole being can be filled with His light and the glory of His presence.
Come ye who are weary and are heavy laden and find rest for your souls. Take my yoke and learn from me for I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls for my yoke is easy and my burden is light Matthew 11:28
LONELINESS can include being naturally lonely for various reasons. Loneliness can affect the emotions and the reasoning ability of our mind. In these areas we need to make careful suitable decisions. Loneliness can affect us spiritually when we are more taken up with the circumstances and fail to comprehend the reality of Christ and the guidance that He unfolds
I have called you friends for everything that I learned from my father I have made known to you. You did not choose me but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit-fruit that will last John 15: 14-16
ANGER can influence us naturally but also comes from the emotions and that which we think and dwell on. At this point let us first determine that for which we truly HUNGER and so THIRST FOR. If we are tired and sense being alone this can have affects on our subsequent reactions in life. Anger can come as a result of physical imbalances as well as mountains which the mind dwells on. The emotions are thus affected. Let us not misdirect our anger as Cain so did or use our words unwisely as Sarah did in her response against Hagar.
Anger takes our focus off of God
The fruit of the Spirit according is longsuffering and self control motivated by divine love which releases peace, patience, kindness and gentleness Galatians 5
Let us HUNGER and THIRST after RIGHTEOUSNESS and be so filled thereof
Let us DRAW NIGH to JESUS and LEARN of HIM whereby we shall find REST for our soul.
Let us become aware of the LOVE and FRIENDSHIP of JESUS
Let us thus be AWARE of our RELATIONSHIP with CHRIST and so discover the release that HIS PRESENCE can bring from the emotions that would tend to thwart GOD'S will and presence
God's love reaches forth to the core of our being and the Holy Spirit quickens the words of God to thereby bring forth the living reality of Christ abiding in us and that which God has originally intended for His creation
WE MUST CHOOSE HOW and TO WHAT WE RESPOND
There is a path that God has chosen, a way in which to go and Jesus goes before us and of His love and presence we thus can know
