Jeremiah 13...Relationship of utmost importance

We see an illustration revealing that special relationship
Israel had with God
but being prone to corruption whereby sin
destroyed that close relationship

Linen represents the purity and holiness
that comes from that relationship God has intended
that ultimately affects ones calling and character
but alas the pollutions of life
soil and spoil that which God has intended

What are the pollutions of life that
affect our relationship with Christ?

God's desire is that we would cleave to Him
Jeremiah 13:11

What are the pollutions that hinder our relationship?
Pride
Refusal to hear God's word
Walking in the imagination of ones own heart
The things of this world being more important
Apathy and indifference
Drunk on the things of this world
Natural and ongoing evil
Forgetting God
Trust in that which ultimatley hinders
Adultery and Idolatry

WE NEED TO HEAR GOD AND GIVE HIM GLORY

Let us draw nigh and respond with our whole being
surrendering and turning
having a humble attitude and a seeking heart

THE SEED OF GOD'S PROMISES WHICH HE HAS PLANTED
NEEDS TO BE RESIDENT AND STEADFAST
AFFECTING EVERY ASPECT OF OUR BEING;
THAT OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD
WILL SEE THE RESULTS INTENDED

What do we ultimately seek after determines
that which tomorrow holds in store for us.

To look at the book of Jeremiah
as a whole
we see the need to
REPENT and TURN to so APPROPRIATE
that which Christ can do in ones heart and soul

Sorry is a very misused word
when not accompanied with
TRUE REPENTANCE

IN CHRIST IS ULTIMATE VICTORY
AS WE ABIDE IN CHRIST
WITH THE WORD ABIDING IN US
