Phil 4:5 Let all men know {and} perceive {and} recognize your unselfishness (your considerateness, your forbearing spirit). The Lord is near [He is coming soon].
Phil 4:6 Do not fret {or} have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance {and} in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.
Phil 4:7 And God's peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison {and} mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Phil 4:8 For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence {and} is honorable {and} seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely {and} lovable, whatever is kind {and} winsome {and} gracious, if there is any virtue {and} excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on {and} weigh {and} take account of these things [Perhaps some may say this is positive thinking but the word of God tells us to "fix your minds on them"].
In this picture depiction we see Jesus standing with the lillies of the field and he is saying; consider the lillies. Jesus speaks of us not having the cares of this world steal our joy and peace and restful place of trust in Him. Luke 12B, Math. 6B, Psalm 37, and Hebrews talks of our entering into a rest. This "place" Jesus wants us to dwell where His peace rules our heart and mind as He says in John 14:27, this peace is to give us this kind of mind set. Yesterday I heard a radio program about what we think about sometimes determines how we go through the entire day. Our thought life determines how we handle every day problems that occur and whether we handle them in the spirit or with uncontrolled emotions. How many many problems try to loom over us and determine our focus when deep inside, our spirit man is to control our thought life. If there is something really hard we do go through, we then can know that our spirit man pictures Jesus standing in the middle of it saying; please consider all these things and choose to not worry. We know we should think about what is good, whatsover things are good, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are of good report, . think on {and} weigh {and} take account of these things [fix your minds on them]. And God's peace will keep you, as you fix your mind on what is good.
