This will probably be the only time I write the devotions in this way. I have not one but two virus worms on my computer and have completely reloaded my initial cds and replaced the partition and still error messages, screen small, no programs are loaded so no quick bible is on here and I have no idea what to do with this computer next. Now today it is saying I have no network interface card so I am not able to sign in only by accident it would seem. Because I can not paste any scripture on here for today I am going to write what is in my spirit.
It is 25 degrees below zero, my sons did not come to help me shovel out from the blizzard we had; my body aches every place it can and I have many circumstances right now that are far more than challenging. I am rock solid peaceful inside and I am warm on a cold bitter cold night. After two years of not singing, not going to church, and not having people to people fellowship I did go to church and I was asked to sing at a program Sunday night where the churches are getting together and a woman's retreat next weekend. I am having touble with my land lady, the arthritus in my fingers as I type, the neighbors dog, and am sitting here thinking about Peter.
Peter "saw" Jesus. His focus was Jesus, oh there is my Jesus. He got out of the boat and started to run to Jesus who probably had his hand out smiling. The Bible says Peter did three things we all do. First of all from reading about Peter I personally can tell he is opposite of me in being an impulsive person who was quick to cut off the guard's ear, and quick to tell Jesus he could not go to the cross and die. Second of all, when it came to Jesus he seemed to be the first responder, defender and "let's get it done" type deciple which would have helped him in running across the water that day.
Remember Peter woke up and saw Moses and Elias and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here, and let us make three tabernacles, one for thee, and oen for Moses, and one for Elias, (not knowing what he said.)  Luke 9:30-33.
Peter...not knowing what he said, now does that tell you something? The Bible says, When you go through deep waters, and great troubles, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on top of that water to Jesus. ((But when he looked around at the high waves)) he was terrified and began to sink. Save me he shouted to Jesus. The Bible says (instantly) Jesus reached out his hand and rescued him. "Oh man of little faith" Jesus said, why did you doubt?" When I am afraid I will put my confidence in you oh Lord for you are the ruler of every wave of every sea of difficulty. You are a safe resting place where I can put my trust in you. We are living in the last days when many obstacles, many difficulties will be round about our lives; challenges and persecutions we did not imagine. Peter was safe as long as his focus was on Jesus and his intent was to go to him. Today, facing the things before me I have one question for you? Did you notice that Jesus responded instantly to rescue Peter even though Jesus told him he was of little faith? Did you notice Jesus and focus on Him or did you let doubt come in and rob you of all the promises in your spirit man from the word of God?  Jesus is mightier than all the breakers pounding on the sea shores of the world. When waves arise, in fearful storms of life, speak Jesus name and they lie still..peace to focus all your circumstances on Jesus, for each and every day of our life.

(Joh 16:33) These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
