Today's Scripture

1 John 1: 8-9
If we say we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and refusing to accept the truth.
But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong.

If God has forgiven us from our sins because of Christ's death, why must we confess our sins ?
In admitting our sins & receiving Christ's cleansing, we are (1) agreeing with God that our sin truly is sin and that we are willing to turn from it, (2) ensuring that we don't conceal our sins from Him and consequently from ourselves, and (3) recognizing our tendency to sin and relying on His power to overcome it.
We are all sinners, We all need Christ's sacrifice in order to be cleansed and set apart ; holy and blameless in God's sight !
We must confess our sins !

Heavenly Father, we come to you with open hearts this day. Thank you Lord that when we confess our sins you are faithful and just and will forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness !
Thank you that you listen to us when we call upon you in the Name of your Son, Jesus Christ. Thank you that you forgive us ! That you cleanse us ! That we can now come into your presence ! And dwell with you forever ! Thank you Jesus !!
Guide us Lord to daily confession. Help us to make that a part of our daily prayer. Shine Your light deep into our hearts and reveal to us any areas of unconfessed sin, so that we may bring it to You in confession and turn from that sin in our lives. In Jesus' Saving Name, Amen..

God Bless You All !
Have a wonderful week in the Lord.
Love Pastor April

(Jer 17:7) Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.

(Jer 17:8) For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
