Computer and me both have a virus so I have not been able to write very long without my system shutting down,,,in more ways then one.

1 John 2:15 Do not love {or} cherish the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him.
1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh [craving for sensual gratification] and the lust of the eyes [greedy longings of the mind] and the pride of life [assurance in one's own resources or in the stability of earthly things]--these do not come from the Father but are from the world [itself].
1 John 2:17 And the world passes away {and} disappears, and with it the forbidden cravings (the passionate desires, the lust) of it; but he who does the will of God and carries out His purposes in his life abides (remains) forever.
1 John 2:18 Boys (lads), it is the last time (hour, the end of this age). And as you have heard that the antichrist [he who will oppose Christ in the guise of Christ] is coming, even now many antichrists have arisen, which confirms our belief that it is the final (the end) time.
Jesus went out in the desert being led by the Spirit of God. There he knew hunger, discomfort and testing. The example He left us was this. Separate yourself from this world for you do not even realize how much a part of it you have become. Mortify and put to death the cravings and lusts of your own flesh and hunger after the things of God. This morning I pictured a marshmellow in the center of a plate. I was sitting there really hungry in my vision and at a fine dining table. I looked at the marshmellow and the meaning of what I saw unfolded in my thoughts. The Holy Spirit said too many come to dine at churches to hear a sweet light message of the good news. Marshmellows are filled with hot air and sugar and have no nutritive value. Some of you should be eating meat by now and are still content to pop in and out of meetings, church services, and activities with not much hunger for God's word or time to meditate on it's precepts. The word and the kingdom of God are near and we need more than sweet light messages to soothe the soul, or jumpy music to make us feel good. We need to be separating our lives from the world and all thats in it.

(Psa 46:1) God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

(Psa 46:2) Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

(Psa 46:3) Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
