John 15:7 If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you {and} continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you. John 15:8 When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored {and} glorified, and you show {and} prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine. John 15:9 I have loved you, [just] as the Father has loved Me; abide in My love [continue in His love with Me]. John 15:10 If you keep My commandments [if you continue to obey My instructions], you will abide in My love {and} live on in it, just as I have obeyed My Father's commandments and live on in His love. John 15:11 I have told you these things, that My joy {and} delight may be in you, and that your joy {and} gladness may be of full measure {and} complete {and} overflowing. What does it mean to you personally when you read the verse about abiding "in" Jesus. When we let ...HIS word abide in us; meditating on what it teaches us, letting the word change us by US changing how we live....what results is complete contentment in Jesus. His joy in us complete, overflowing to others we then serve God out in the world from a full cup. I was sharing in a park this week with a young man about how God has a call on his life and he needs to not just go to a church but "be" the church. If we truely abide in the Lord we can ask anything and it will be done for us by our father in Heaven. Today is the national day of prayer for example. Any change you make in your life, any repentence of dead works begins with prayer. Submission, humility and living a Holy life will only bring you to that peaceful place of abiding in the vine and producing fruit that remains for the kingdom of God.

Thanks BibleWriter for this awesome message. God bless you. dalfrath. (Psa 19:7) The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. (Psa 19:8) The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. (Psa 19:9) The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. (Psa 19:10) More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. | | | |
