1 Sam 1:27 For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted my petition made to Him.
1 Sam 1:28 Therefore I have given him to the Lord; as long as he lives he is given to the Lord. And they worshiped the Lord there.
1 Sam 2:1 HANNAH PRAYED, and said, My heart exults {and} triumphs in the Lord; my horn (my strength) is lifted up in the Lord.
The Lord makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and He lifts up.
1 Sam 2:8 He raises up the poor out of the dust and lifts up the needy from the ash heap, to make them sit with nobles and inherit the throne of glory. For the pillars of the earth are the Lord's, and He has set the world upon them.
1 Sam 2:9 He will guard the feet of His godly ones, but the wicked shall be silenced {and} perish in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.

The priest had thought that Hannah was drunk the way she carried on praying but she had wanted a child for years and not conceived. How many of us after weaning a baby would be so willing to give the child back to God before he grew up? To let go is one thing but she exalts God and worships Him. When I was young there were babies left on the steps of orphanages, houses of the rich, hospitals and inside warm places. Now millions and millions of murdered babies wait for God to judge the earth for their deaths, and for being treated like garbage to throw out a car window or stuff in a dumpster. God will judge the earth very soon but we here alive now,, we fail to see the kingdom of God principles are opposite of this world. God lifts up the meek and lowly, those who seek Him for refuge and safety. He casts down kings from their thrones, and the proud..?  He knows a far off. We see in this scripture and in many more where some day, the ones who thought they would be caught up to Heaven will be left behind. When "who" He determines to be the wicked, shall be silenced {and} perish in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail. It is not about the strength of a man, for God's strength is made perfect in your weakness. He lifts up the meek and lowly, not the man of position, wealth or pride. You want to know how to humble yourself? God won't do it for you. He will let you remain that way so do not ask Him to humble you or you may not like what circumstance He may allow in your life. When Jesus comes to take us home, He can not lift us up unless we are bowed down. He can not fill us with Himself if we are full of ourselves. Full of God or full of this world and self... it is always our choice and our will.
